JUNE 2019 MONTHLY OBSESSIONS

Happy LAST FRIDAY of June, everyone!! We are officially about to enter BABY MONTH! It seems so crazy that we are already this close to having our little boy in our arms. I can’t wait to stare at him all day long. 🙂 BUT – as it is the last Friday of June – you know what that means!!! It’s MONTHLY OBSESSION time. This month has been a whirlwind of baby prep, so I didn’t have as much time to try out new products and see what my favorite was but I still managed to round up some awesome things that have really caught my attention lately. Let’s dive into this.

Dutch Braid styles for my growing out bangs

I did a whole post on how to style your bangs when you are growing them out earlier this week – but specifically, I have been LOVING dutch braids for my bangs!! It gets them out of my face and I can do a MILLION different things: straight hair, curly hair, low messy bun, top knot messy bun, half up…the options are endless. I’m a fan.

Blueberry Lemon macarons

Ok. So. These were one of the desserts at my baby shower and wowowowowowowow. A friend of mine makes this and they were actually to DIE for. I am STILL thinking about them and how yummy they were. They had JUST the right about of sweetness and tangy-ness. Macarons are one of my favorite desserts and these were bite sized and phenomenal.

Ryka lavender sneakers

I loooooove these sneakers. They have been on repeat because they’re a fun color (I don’t have very many purple sneakers) AND they are SO comfortable on my poor swollen feet. I’ve been feeling super uncomfortable lately (38 weeks pregnant will do that do ya) And my legs and feet are now starting to swell, so these sneakers are one of the only pairs of shoes I have now that really fit.

Physicians Formula 24K Illuminating Setting Spray

This setting spray actually gives me a really nice GLOW. I loooove how it gives my skin this really subtle shimmer for the summer, and it melts my makeup into the skin. It DOES have some glitter flecks in it, so if that’s not your cup of tea, you may not love it so much! 

The Approachable. Podcast

This is a new podcast that I’ve been listening to! It’s done by one of my favorite Youtubers, Samantha Ravndahl and I looove her! I’ve been watching her for the last 3-4 years and she is my OG beauty influencer. This podcast is super easy to listen to, tackles awesome topics like impostor syndrome, self-care and more. If you are looking for a new podcast, definitely check this one out.

Kendall Rae true crime + conspiracy theory Youtube channel

I am STILL really into true crime + conspiracy theories on podcasts and youtube – and Kendall Rae has been my go-to lately! She has SO MANY videos that I haven’t run out of ones to watch or listen to yet. She does both true crime + conspiracy theories so you have a wide range of topics to listen to. She does her research and is super easy to listen to.

Neon eyeliner looks

I love neon eyeliner looks and I’ve been currently putting together a long list of neon eyeliner products to order and start testing out. Neon is so much fun for summer and can be a really awesome way to use a small amount of color for a BIG impact!

Urban Decay 8-hour Afterglow Blush in Score

I just recently dug this blush out after having it in the back of my blush drawer for FOREVER because I was looking for a pink/coral blush to use for the summer. THIS IS IT. It’s super similar to NARS Orgasm blush in terms of color but it’s less shimmery. I love that it really warms up my face but still has that coral undertone which I LOVE for the summertime.

Knotted headbands

I am obsessed with this new trend????? I thought for sure I would hate it because I don’t have long hair, but in actuality – I love this! Especially if I have my hair curled!! It’s SUPER cute, and they are everywhere right now. The one I have is from Target and was only $10. Love love love love love!

Prenatal massages

I had my last prenatal massage this week and it was HEAVENLY. I did 60 minutes and it really did help make me feel a lot more loose and limber and relaxed. If you’ve never been pregnant – you carry a LOT of tension (not to mention a whole human) in your body in the third trimester so these massages have been LIFESAVERS.

Like I said – I didn’t have as many new product obsessions this month simply because we have been in FULL SWING with baby prep. HOWEVER: I have been loving the above products/experiences/foods/influencers this month.

As next month is baby month – I am sure we will have a similar list but I will make sure that I am keeping a full list of each of my fave products. 🙂
