Happy #FASHIONWEDNESDAY! I hope your week is flying by and that you have found time to read for fun or take a bubble bath or whatever to do to u n w i n d. We are approaching mid-january now, which means that we are starting to see stores filling up with spring styles and selections. I’ve put together the perfect “trends for spring” guide for you ladies looking to start adding to your closet for the coming season — with links to all the styles and a bonus for you?? Everything in this post is under $50 — except for two. One is $52 and the other $53. Please forgive me, I am the worst. Ok. Let’s jump into it.

Trends To Watch — Spring 2017

Khaki

Apparently, this color is going to be HUGE the coming spring. I love a good, tan staple. It can dress up or dress down an outfit, depending on the style you buy. I personally love these 5 khaki tops and bottoms:

50 Shades of Yellow

Yellow ruffles, bohemian yellow skirts, pale yellow bell sleeves…you name it, this color is going to be on it. I don’t personally looooove yellow on me, but if you have a darker shade of skin than pale ivory (like me), this is going to be an AMAZING trend for you. I cannot wait to see how you ladies style this color this year. Try some of these pieces when looking to add it to your closet:

Business Man Stripes

These thin pinstripes are making a huge splash in the world of fashion. It may have originated on wall street but fashion designers have made it totally chic. These vertical stripes are one of my favorites to style because they are so slimming, and I find stripes the easiest pattern to do pattern mixing with. Snag these items before they’re sold out:

Garden Party Florals

This is no surprise to anyone who has ever stepped into a store between the months of February-April. Florals are ALWAYS a huge hit during spring. As Miranda Priestly says, “Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.”

80’s Punk Rock

Studs, leather jackets (see mine here), metallic leggings and platform shoes. This trend is fun and new. I love leather jackets, but am a little afraid of studs. The metallic leggings, however, I can totally get on board. I feel like a lot of women are going to be scared of this trend but I think you should ALL totally jump into it. Get out of your comfort zone with these pieces:

I hope you found this helpful in making your decisions regarding spring shopping (and making spring cleaning)!! I know I went through my closet while spring cleaning this week and discovered a bunch of tops I forgot I had that work perfectly with these trends! #winning
