Makeup Revolution isn’t a brand that I typically gravitate towards but it is one of the more affordable options so I wanted to review it to see if it’s worth your $$ or if your dollars are better spent elsewhere. I snagged a variety of their skincare + makeup to test out as much as I could. They are all products I’ve had my eyes on so I was excited to try. Let’s dive into this!

MAKEUP REVOLUTION NEW MAKEUP ALERT

Pore Perfecting Primer – $12.00

This primer is SO similar to the ELF putty primer and the Tarte putty primer. It’s almost identical to the ELF one – except this one sat a little bit easier to blend. I like the Tarte one best, but it’s definitely pricier than the ELF or MR one.

Fix & Glow Ultra Glow Primer – $12.00

This primer is SO pretty mixed into foundation!!! I love that it slightly sheers out the foundation coverage and I love that it gives a super subtle glow to your foundation. I love a glowy look for the summer so I’m totally here for it. Very pretty and very easy to use. It also looks pretty on it’s own for a low makeup day!

Luxury Baking Powder – Banana – $8.00

I’m not a big baker when it comes to my makeup so this is kind of a bust for me. HOWEVER – if you LOVE baking I think you’ll love this product. It isn’t cake-y or powdery once blended and it looks really nice on the skin. I just don’t happen to love matte skin these days.

Lip Vinyl – Thirsty – $7.00

This was a really nice lipgloss but not necessarily one I’m going to be reaching for ALL the time. I like how it didn’t make the white crusty lip outline that a lot of lipglosses do. That said, I prefer my NYX butter glosses over these.

Lift & Define 5D Lash Mascara – $12.00

This mascara is REALLY beautiful – my only beef is it does leave mascara streaks on my upper eyelid. If you are looking for a good, lengthening mascara that DOESN’T leave streaks on your upper eyelid – this one is my FAVORITE.

Affinity Palette – $15.00 | Chilled Palette – $15.00

These palettes are so pretty – and the quality is PRETTY good. I’d say quality is in line with NYX products or other drugstore palettes. They do not pack as much of a punch as, say, Colourpop, for the price. That said – the glitters were pretty and they lasted well during the day, you just need to really work on packing the shadows in.

Hyaluronic Fix Makeup Fixing Spray – $10.00

I love this hyaluronic spray. It keeps your makeup nice and dewy all day long – I like to respray this during the day to add hydration. Such a good summer setting spray. AND it keeps your makeup nice and fresh during the day.

Hydrating Face Mask – $10.50

This face mask was SO NICE. It is wonderful for drier skin – it adds a much needed dose of hydration to the skin and feels cooling as it sits.

Pink Clay Detoxifying Mask – $11.00

This mask wasn’t my fave – I felt like it dried my skin out a little more than I like a clay mask to do. I needed a LOT of hydration after using this one.
