Big ticket business investments can be SO scary to make, right? But honestly, they can be HUGE assets for your business – pushing you along to help you gain new heights in your biz. These have been the top 8 best high-ticket investments I’ve made over the course of owning my own business! Let’s dive into this!

8 of the BEST High-Ticket Investments I’ve Made for my Business!

DSLR Camera

This camera took my blog from a hobby to an actual job. Being able to provide hi-res images to the brands that I work with and to showcase products to my audience has been HUGE. This was my first big investment ($700+ after my lens) when I started blogging and it’s continued to be a huge asset to my business.

iMac Desktop

This was the second BIG investment I made in my business. My Mac desktop was $4000, and it was, to this day, the largest sum I’ve spent at one time on an investment. It’s been absolutely essential in running video editing softwares, podcast editing softwares, image editing, and providing huge amounts of storage. This was a GAME changer.

iPad Pro

I used to have a laptop for traveling, but somewhere along the line I realized HOW impractical this actually is. I sold my laptop and got an iPad for travel instead and it’s been SO much better. When I do in-person client meetings, I love to bring this along vs a huge laptop. I have the keyboard attachment so I can type just like a laptop, and it does everything that I need it to do without the bulk and excess of a laptop.

iPhone Pro Max

I consider this a work investment BECAUSE I use my phone’s camera for SO much. When I’m out and about and shooting events or things on the go, I need to make sure I have a REALLY good camera without lugging my DSLR. This has been so good in ensuring that I have high quality images just from my phone.

BossPitch – Blog Pitching E-Course

This was the first e-course I ever spent my money on and it was CRUCIAL is helping me take my blog from part-time to full-time. This is a course that teaches the ins and outs of how to effectively pitch a brand to land brand deals for your blog. It’s SO GOOD and really helped me learn the skills I needed to make an actual living from blogging.

Business Coach

I invested in a business coach when it was time to shift my business a little bit. I had 3 different streams going (blog, podcast, business strategist) and they didn’t feel totally right or cohesive. I knew I need some good outside eyes on my business as a whole to help me make sense of what I was actually working with and to SCALE what I was doing. Sometimes you are just too close to your business to think objectively. This ended up being a huge turning point in my income and my business structure – and I HIGHLY recommend hiring a business coach that you click well with to help you reach new heights and goals. It’s the most on a whole I’ve ever spent on my business but it’s had a ten-fold ROI.

Accountant

This was another thing that I REALLY am glad I did early on in my business. Small business taxes can be an absolutely NIGHTMARE so having someone who knows what they’re doing to help keep you on track and make sure you are paying accordingly.

Virtual Assistant

Hiring my VA – I think – has been the BEST thing to date I’ve done for my business. Jen is amazing, and she really helps me to stay organized and focused on my zone of genius. She handles client communication, podcast guest communication, graphic design work – anything I need her to do, basically. She’s like having two extra hands when I need them and it’s been lifesaving.
