Happy BEAUTY MONDAY! I have made my return to the blogging world (check out my New Years Goal + Resolutions post HERE) and I’m SO EXCITED for this year to kick off. 2019 was one of the BEST years of my life – so it’s hard to see how 2020 could possibly top it. But I truly hope that this year is one for the books. 🙂 Today, we are going to be talking about a new release this holiday season that I’m really LOVING. Urban Decay new releases have really impressed me lately – and this is no exception! This is their new Stay Naked line: foundation, concealer, powder and blush/bronzer palette. I’m breaking down my thoughts, what shade I used and the price of each item!

LIQUID FOUNDATION:

This foundation claims to last 24 hours but I have not tried it for last long because I don’t hate my skin. I will say right off the bat: this is VERY drying. It is a super matte foundation. It doesn’t really need to be set down, and it doesn’t budge once it dries. It is similar to the Fenty Beauty Foundation (the original one) but not as full coverage. It’s definitely medium coverage but it is buildable. It is a bit too dry for my skin so I’ve been mixing it with the Flesh Beauty iridescent primer to add a bit of luminescence and dewiness and I do like it that way. I like HOW LONG it lasts on my skin. It actually STAYS on my nose.

CONCEALER:

I have really LOVED this concealer!!! It isn’t as drying as the foundation which is great for me because I have pretty deep creases under my eyes and my BIGGEST concealer complaint in life is that they are almost always too drying and they settle into my fine lines. I’ve just accepted that as my fate in life. Luckily: this one is great at NOT doing that as much as others! I got a pretty light shade (maybe 2 or 3 shades lighter than my skin tone) so it can conceal and brighten my under eyes. The doe foot applicator is a little bit weird in terms of the angle but that doesn’t make or break the product for me at all. I really really like this formula – it’s very full coverage.

POWDER FOUNDATION:

This foundation is just so-so for me! I like it enough, and I’ll definitely get use out of it but it doesn’t wow me like the concealer did. It’s just alright. It works pretty identical to my Physicians Formula pressed powder – and that one is WAY less expensive so I don’t necessarily think you need to go out and buy this one for almost $40. I do like that it seems to blur my skin, which is super nice. It has an almost filtered effect which is unique to this product. I bought a shade too light for me so I just use it to set my under eyes right now, but if I had gone a shade up I probably would like it more all over my face.

SHADE: 10NN

PRICE: $39

BLUSH/BRONZER/HIGHLIGHT PALETTE:

I got the shade RISE in this, which is the lightest shade they have. I like the product, but I’m not a fan of when all of these are pushed up together without any separation. Urban Decay likes to do this a lot. They did it with their cherry blush/bronzer trio too. I love the formulas, but it’s really hard to get a brush in the pans without mixing the colors so the middle highlighter ends up getting really muddy and dirty with the bronzer and blush on either side. I also never feel quite like the highlighter is light enough for my skin tone, but I’m very fair for that is mostly just a me issue (and anyone else on the super light end of the spectrum).

SHADE: RISE

ALLNIGHTER PRIMER

I have been WAITING to try this product. I was SO stoked to get this in the mail. I have had this sitting in my Ulta cart for WEEKS waiting for my no-buy to end. UD ended up sending me this in my PR package but make no mistake: I was 150% planning on purchasing this myself. It is a lotion-like consistency that makes my face very grippy (the exact consistency that I LOVE in a primer). It also filled my pores and generally smoothed my skin. Also – you really only need a small amount to cover your whole face so one bottle should last quite a while.

ALLNIGHTER LONG LASTING MAKEUP SETTING SPRAY

This is my holy grail makeup setting spray for YEARS. It really, truly sets my makeup for the ENTIRE DAY. The only thing it doesn’t necessarily do is hold the makeup for the entire day on my nose – but honestly, I don’t even think God could hold my makeup on the tip of my nose the whole day. BUT. The rest of my face? This is it. It keeps the makeup from creeping into my forehead lines and my fine lines around my eyes. I keep a travel size with me every time I go out of town. 10/10. Love. Holy grail. Forever.

PRICE: $33

ALLNIGHTER POLLUTION PROTECTION ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE MAKEUP SETTING SPRAY

This is very similar to the original all-nighter setting spray but this has the added protection against environmental pollution. This would be fantastic if you lived somewhere with poor air quality to help keep your skin as healthy as possible. I would bring this with me the next time I go to New York! Other than that – same as the setting spray above. LoveloveLOOOVE this formula and LOVE the added benefit of pollution protection.

PRICE: $34

ALLNIGHTER ULTRA MATTE MAKEUP SETTING SPRAY

WHERE MY OILY GIRLS AT. Hello. That is me. I’m in a phase of embracing my oily skin so I’m more apt to roll with the dewy look than the matte look these days. HOWEVER: if you still want to control your oil as much as humanly possible (and trust me: I do not blame you) – this setting spray is the one for you. It’s AWESOME at mattifying your face and lasts all day long. It’s a super fine mist so it doesn’t budge your makeup. You can actually almost see it soak up some of that oil. I can watch it happen on my forehead which is really cool. I can tell a difference when I use this spray vs the original spray in terms of oil control, too.

PRICE: $33

ALLNIGHTER WATERPROOF SETTING POWDER

OKKKKK. THIS TOOK ME BY SURPRISE – not gonna lie. I did not expect much from this and I was pleasantly surprised. WOWOW. It actually blurs my skin when I use it. I use it with a large kabuki brush and put it all over my face. The packaging also is SO SATISFYING. I love the water-droplets on the mirror finish. It’s waterproof so when paired in conjunction with the all-nighter setting spray your makeup isn’t budging. Literally. You can see in my video during my wear test – it does an AWESOME job holding my makeup in place all day.

  1. Hmmmm…I’m looking for a new liquid foundation. I need to check this one out. I love UD products but have only tried lip and eye colors. This one sounds like a winner!!

  2. I really enjoyed how you did a wear test for the video and checked in over the night. Obviously aside from Jack grabbing at your face or you giving him kisses, the rest of your makeup stayed put really well! I’ve been wearing the liquid foundation and playing around with the concealer, powder, and color trio for a couple weeks now in different combinations. So far I’m impressed with each one in different ways, and I can’t wait to eventually put my thoughts together in a post like this!

  3. i’ve not tried their foundations/concealers but I’m a big fan of the brand overall. I don’t know that I’d test a foundation for 24 hrs either because like you said (it made me laugh) I don’t hate my skin either! Haha.

  4. I haven’t tried any of the foundations or setting products from Urban Decay but I always LOVE their eyeshadow palettes, blushes, and bronzers. I love that you did a wear test for us!
