Happy #fashionwednesday!!
Let’s be honest, you’re probably reading this while wearing a long sleeve t and yoga pants. There’s no shame in that I’m writing this while wearing less, but there comes a time when we all must be in real clothes, and for that reason I give you this….
The perfect fall outfit consists of three simple things…. a scarf, something plaid, and jeans. Camo seems to be really in this season, so why not.
That top part was written by Adam to provide some comedic relief this hump day. 😉 He wanted to “help”…. lol. BUT IN ALL SERIOUSNESS: today we are talking about a super simple fall outfit that is actually nursing-friendly! Let’s dive into this.
The Perfect Fall Outfit – AND it’s nursing-friendly!!
This outfit has been one I have had on repeat ALL fall long. It’s a very light-weight top (from Ashe and Irys – a totally nursing-friendly shop), and is VERY layer-able. I like that I can wear it with a light jacket, a denim jacket or a heavier jacket and they ALL work. It looks adorable with my olive green military coat for the winter. What’s even better about this top is that if you look closely, you can see that it unzips on either side of my collar bone. This is amazing if you are breastfeeding. You just unzip the top and then pull it down so you can nurse on the go!! It’s soft and flattering and has the cute little pocket details. Really, I just love that I can wear it alone or underneath something for the changing weather. It isn’t skintight so I feel more comfortable in it, too! It’s not a sweater material, it is more shirt-like. Anyways: I really like the way it fits and feels, so it’s a win for me!

This scarf was a gift from Adam last Christmas and I LOVE IT. It’s perfect for October because it’s orange and green (hiiiii pumpkins). It is SO SOFT. I am not sure where he bought it from last year (and he can’t remember #classicman) but I’ll link a similar one that I know is really good quality, too! I have been gravitating towards this style vs. the huge blanket scarves that were popular the last few years because they are WAY less bulky and are still just as warm. I can wear it a ton of ways: on either side like shown, wrapped around my neck in a loop, pulled through one end, or knotted on either side. I plan on getting a few more scarves like this for the winter because they’re so versatile!!
I love this dark denim from Dish Denim!! This is a super underrated denim brand (in my opinion). They are one of my MOST flattering pairs of jeans, right next to my Madewell jeans! They’re definitely in the price point of Madewell (I believe this pair is $129) but they are worth it! They flatter every curve, they are a TRUE dark wash and they don’t lighten over time (that I’ve found – I’ve owned these for a little over a year). They also have nice stretch to them so they don’t cut off your circulation when you sit down.

These boots have STOLEN MY HEART. I plan on single-handedly bringing back riding boots this season. I know they faded out a bit last year in the wake of over-the-knee boots (which I also love) – but I feel like they can still really make a fall outfit shine. They are from Lifestride (one of my fave shoe stores) – and they are SO comfortable. They have cushioned insoles and they are very well made. They also hug my calves without being too roomy or too tight. There is a bit of stretch to them!
I have really loved styling fall items this year! Last year I was pretty sick with morning sickness/bloating from the early weeks of pregnancy and I didn’t get to styling nearly as much as I love to!
What kinds of outfits are you rocking this time of year?! Let me know in the comments below!
Perfect Fall outfit indeed! I am loving the soft neutral colors and the cozy vibe!
I was in H&M today, looking through their accessories, and I realized that I literally never wear scarves? And I thought, “why do I never wear scarves? They literally make ANY outfit look put together.” So, that was the moment I decided I need more scarves, and then I read your post haha! I guess it’s a sign. I need some cute autumn scarves in my life ASAP! Love this look!
This is such a cute outfit for Fall babe! Loving this scarf and these cute boots!
