Happy #fashionwednesday, pretty people!! I’m super excited for today’s post. I teamed up with Kohl’s, a major retailer in the United States for clothing, makeup, jewelry and house wares. We worked together to put up a post about their favorite summer style: BRALETTES! Now, you all know that my style is strictly in the “modest fashion” section, so I wanted to be able to show you that you can be modest AND gorgeous, and still rock the latest trends. So. Let’s dive into this.
How To Style Bralettes In The Summer
This post is sponsored by Kohl’s. I received the included bralettes as compensation.
Look #1: Chambray Top + Cream Lace Bralette
This is my favorite look. I love the way the high-neck bralette peeks out from underneath the chambray top. It is an effortlessly chic look, especially when paired with this floral skirt. This has seriously #vacationvibes to me. Here’s how to put this look together:
- Pick a solid color, lace bralette. I chose cream because it is easy to match with everything I own. It isn’t too busy, but it is very flattering with my skin tone. I like the high-neck because I’m all about that whole #modestishottest vibe.
- Pick a button down top. I opted for my chambray top because it makes the whole outfit more casual, and I can unbutton as much as I want to show off the bralette.
- Choose a patterned skirt. This skirt is cream and coral, so it is perfect for summer and matches the bralette I chose. Opt for something with the color of your bralette in it so that it goes well together.
Look #2: Floral Top + Light Pink Bralette
This is a good look for summer, too. I think the light pink matches really nicely with the flowers in the top. I went for an oversized tee so I could tie it really cute at my waist. I paired it with white jeans and threw on some cute heels so that it went from totally casual, to casual-chic. Here’s how to do it:
- Pick a combination that matches: top + bralette. I chose the light pink color in the top to match to the bralette. I didn’t want to do grey because it would be too same-same and the bralette wouldn’t pop as much.
- Opt for white jeans. These add a pop of summer style. White jeans look perfect in the summer time, especially if you go for distressed ones. Choose the ones you love the best, and rock them!
Look #3: Casual Army Green Top + Black Bralette
You can’t go wrong with this super casual look. I wore this outfit on the plane to the dominican republic. Throw this on with a pair of yoga pants, and some cute Nikes, and you have a match made in heaven. Here’s how to do it:
- Grab your favorite loose fitting top. I love the army green because I can wear it all year long. With a bralette in the summer, and a cardigan in the fall and winter. It’s incredibly soft so basically also incredibly comfortable.
- Match with a neutral color bralette. Black was the obvious choice here because it goes with my black yoga pants and nike shoes. It isn’t loud so I can wear it all the time.

I love love love bralettes and I hope that you can see that there are other ways to wear them besides the usual bralette + no top look. Not that it isn’t gorgeous, because it totally is, it just isn’t something I would personally wear.

I love this post girl! I never wear bralettes because they look too riskay for the crowds I am usually with. These are great tips!

I totally get that!! Hopefully this helped you find new ways to wear them that AREN’T risqué!! 😀
So pretty, Taylor! I think bralettes are so pretty but hesitate to buy them because I felt like I couldn’t wear them modestly with the type of job that I have. Thanks for showing me that I can! Gotta go to the store this weekend now 😉
You are SO welcome!!! I hope you find some you LOVELOVELOVE!
Love how you styled all of these – so classy and girly still!
I think the last athletic look was my fav!

I just got 2 bralettes for the first time and I freaking love them. They’re from Forever21 and they’re so comfy. I can’t wait to get more.
YOu’d look amazing in them, too!!! AHH! LOVE!
Love how you styled those bralettes. I haven’t try them yet because I didn’t know how to style them in a modest way but here you gave me some good ideas and I love them. Thanks for the tips.

Rachael
Thanks Rachael! I love pops of lace!

Thank you Lily! It’s nice to see modest clothing in action sometimes and I agree — the bralettes as a top just isn’t cute to me!
such a great post! bralettes can be really tricky but you nailed it! xo
I have to admit.. I was stumped in the beginning thinking how I would style these. 🙂
I love the way you styled all of these! The casual workout look is my favorite but the others are so cute too!
Thanks Cara!!! I appreciate it!
I love how you styled them all. The black one looks interesting.

I loved the cut outs on the black one!
Bralettes are literally the best thing in the world. I’m not a huge fan of camisoles because I don’t like all the extra fabric, so they’re a great thing to wear under shirts for a little extra detail!
SO TRUE Anna. They add that little extra something to an outfit!
Ok, you’ve convinced me to try out bralettes now! I’ll definitely be hitting up Kohl’s to get some bralettes soon 🙂

YAY! I hope you do!!
LOVE this post! I adore bralettes but don’t have the desire (or the flat stomach) to just wear them with shorts/an open top so these ideas are perfect for styling them! Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome!
These looks were so great! I have some bralettes but I’m never quite sure how to style them, so this gave me some major inspiration
I’m so glad!! 😀
I love how you styled all the bralettes, they add such a cute feminine pop to each outfit. I especially love how they are all modest. I never thought of how one could be modest and cute, thanks for inspiring me!
You are so welcome, Courtney! My whole life is trying to make modest cute and it’s not always easy!!
These bralettes are so pretty and I love each and every styled look!
Thanks Ruthie!! You are too sweet!
Your pics and your clothes are always so cute girl! And I love your bright aesthetic. I definitely love your twist on being more modest with bralettes because sometimes it can feel like to wear a bralette, you have to be like half naked.
Ugh I felt the SAME WAY. And it’s just not true. You just have to work a LITTLE harder. 🙂
These outfits look so cute! I haven’t seen many high-neck bralettes, but my boobs can’t always be contained in the lower ones. I’ll definitely check these out!

LOL AMEN. High neck bralettes are my FAVORITE. Kohl’s has SO MANY.
Love these looks and how you styled the bralettes!
I love the way you styled these! I’ve always wanted to try something like this but don’t want to wear them alone. Layering is a great idea!
All of these are super cute looks – I really love the last one though!
This post is soooo informative, Taylor! I’m obsessed with bralettes!
Nice post! I’m terrible with bralettes – I never know what to do with them and they often end up just sitting in a drawer. Thanks for the ideas!
You are SO welcome!!
I love the choices you made! I don’t buy bralettes because they are always styled too scandalous and as a mom of two I need to dress accordingly. Very modest yet flirty!
Exactly!!! I hope you’ll try them out this way!
This is a refreshing and classy take on the bralette! I like them, but I don’t always want to look like I’m going to a festival haha. Love how you styled them!
Amen girl! I’m so glad you liked it!
I love how the bralette peeks out of your tops!
Kileen
cute & little
Thank you! It feels so feminine!
I love the way that you styled your bralette. Sometimes I find they look a little too sexy. This was perfect!

LOL. LOVE YOU E.
This goes to show how versatile a bralette is as you can dress it up or down depending on your mood and with slight adjustments you get a whole new look. Love how you did that! 🙂
Thomas xx
Thanks Thomas!! I loved styling them!
I loved this post Taylor! I am all about modesty and I have actually never seen bralettes with such great high necklines!
I loove bralettes!! You styled these looks beautifully girl!!
Hey girl! Love how you shared so many ways to style a bralette. I have a couple and I wear them the same way every time. I can not wait to try some of your ideas! XO
Love this! That last look is by far my fav. I have a teal one just like it, and I always gravitate towards styling it the sporty way. They give such an interesting vibe to the look, and I wish more people rocked them! You are totally right, #modestisthehottest 🙂
xoxo Bryanna
