This past weekend, Adam and I had the actual best time at the Angad Arts Hotel this weekend and I’m so excited to tell you about it. We did a really fast one-night staycation into the city for some ~alone time~ as adults. We left Jack with my parents so we could have a 24 hour break from being mom and dad. HA! We are pretty sure Jack didn’t even miss us. 😉 Let’s dive into this.

The first thing we noticed when we walked in was the artwork! We LOVE art and history, so this was an immediate draw. There was a charming gift shop with eclectic art and small shop items.
You can choose which color room you stay in – Red, Green, Blue, or Yellow. We chose “RED” – the empowerment room. It was PERFECT for our belated Valentine’s Day getaway.
The room was super clean and everything was beautiful and modern – the bathroom was lovely and our room was decorated with art and fun furniture pieces. Next time, we’d splurge and get the room with the jacuzzi tub!!

DINNER: The Fountain on Locust
We LOVED this cute vintage restaurant! It was opened in the 1930s as a soda shoppe and still operates as one. We loved the mocktail menu they had and the food was charming. The best part – however – was the chocolate malt. BONUS: It’s walking distance from the hotel so you can pop on by during your stay!
ROOFTOP BAR
If you want to eat in-house – the rooftop bar is currently serving little eats + drinks! The actual hotel restaurant is closed due to covid, but we were still able to snag some yummy drinks and snacks as a late night snack!
BREAKFAST IN THE PENTHOUSE
Before we checked out – we stopped by the penthouse to grab breakfast. They have a lovely little eating area and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the breakfast potatoes – so yum!
