#FASHIONWEDNESDAY today is all about my favorite runway trend: SCALLOPED HEMLINES.

Hey pretty ladies! I hope your week is flying by and you are having a blast enjoying the last few weeks of summer. The husband and I leave to go visit my sweet parents & baby sis tomorrow and we will be spending a few days with them, and then driving down to see Adam’s parents and family as well. I have been looking forward to this vacay ALL SUMMER. Road trip, HERE WE COME.

In other news, though: I have written today’s post with the goal of convincing every single one of you who makes it to my page today that you need to add scallops somewhere in your closet. I have somehow added two scalloped tops and a scalloped skirt to my clothing collection this summer alone. Whoops. Sorry not sorry. It is the one design I don’t see myself getting tired of. It is SO CLASSY OK. So now that I have you totally hooked, let’s jump right into this.

Scallops are awesome and you should wear them BECA– USE:

A. Scallops are stinking CUTE + adorable + I love them.

Okay. This counts. We have to start somewhere right? Well how about with they are just adorable? They add that little something to the hemline or sleeve line of a top/dress/skirt. It dresses up blouses just enough without making them “dressy”. They “girl-ify” (I did make that word up but just roll with it) just about any type of clothing. I have seen fashion divas all over pinterest and instagram putting out scallop DIYs on how you can add scallop hemlines to shorts or add your own scallop peter pan collar. I’m not much of a DIY-er but for those of my ladies that are: pinterest that ish UP.

B. Scallops are sophisticated + easy to style.

My outfit would be fine without the scallop sleeves, probably. But I feel more put together and my outfit feels like it is just a step above what it would be without them. I have a peach colored skirt that would be so boring without the scalloped hemline, seriously. Scallops made the difference between getting me to spend all of the money in my wallet and having me ditch it in the dressing room. Feminine and flirty, this design is the perfect addition to any outfit. If you don’t want to commit to a full on outfit of scallops (even though you SHOULD), try out a scalloped necklace first. It is an easy way to take your top from a 7.5 to a 10 in less than a minute.

C. Scallops are on trend + seriously versatile.

Scallops made a huge debut in the fall of 2012, covering runways and store fronts everywhere. And lucky for us, they have made a huge comeback this season. A classic scalloped hem is unique and unlike any other trend out there. The detailing isn’t too busy that you couldn’t style it with something cute like lace or crochet, but they add enough style that they can be worn with just a simple skirt or jeans as well. What more could you ask for in a hot trend? Nothing, girl. Nothing.  View More: http://michelleandlogan.pass.us/blonde-and-ambitious-blog

Wow that was fun. Are you convinced that you need this style in your life yet? Yes? Ok perrrrrfecttttt. I need more scallops in my life. Everyone does, I think. Phew. So glad I was able to get that off my chest.
