Welcome to another #BEAUTYMONDAY and DAY TWO OF 12 DAYS OF BLOGMAS! Tis the season for holiday makeup and affordable options to put underneath the tree! Earlier last week I got some makeup from Physician’s Formula (AKA one of my all time favorite affordable makeup brands). I haven’t had any in my arsenal for a while, due to testing out some other options for you, but I’m so glad to have some of my tried and true favorites back in my makeup box. I’m reviewing them for you today and showing you one of the many looks you can create using their makeup.

PHYSICIAN’S FORMULA REVIEW

So, you guys know I  LOVE my high-end makeup brands like Tarte, or TooFaced. But I think we can all agree that sometimes our wallets just don’t…agree with that. amiright? That’s where we need the ride or die drugstore favorites. Enter Physician’s Formula. (Hallelujah).

CUSHION FORMULA FOUNDATION:

I was pleasantly surprised with this foundation. I’m typically a total liquid foundation girl — but this might make me change my mind. It is really full coverage, which I appreciate. It was a little bit harder to blend than liquid foundation and I had to catch a spot on my neck when I got into the car. BUT. Other than that, it stayed pretty much all day. It has a very matte finish which is great if you have oily skin (like me lol SOS send help).

BUTTER BRONZER:

This is one of those cult favorites you always hear about. It is the perfect shade for those of us who are pale as all heck. Not only does it have that buttery texture, it smells like coconuts and makes you want to be on the beach getting a REAL tan instead of a pretend one. It measures right up there with Tarte’s Park Avenue Princess, tbh. And ya’ll know how I feel about that. SO. Do with that what you will.

ARGAN LIP OIL:

While there is absolutely a place for completely opaque liquid lipstick (and trust me I AM A FAN), I think that occasionally, lip oil is about to have its moment, too. I prefer to put this overtop of a dark lip to make it as shiny and extra as possible. I love the pink lip oil overtop of bright red lipstick. Shine-Tastic and also it makes sure you don’t end up with super dry lips at the end of the night.

ARGAN MASCARA:

This gets about a 5/10. I was not super impressed with the mascara quality because I really had to coat it on to get anything to show up on my eyes. I will definitely be sticking to my Better Than Sex mascara. While it was super black, which is awesome, it was neither volumizing nor lengthening. That’s about where I stand.

ARGAN EYELINER:

I really liked this stuff!! It actually blends out super well which makes smokey eyes a SINCH. I am loving the rich smokey eye look for this holiday season and this eyeliner makes it SO EASY. Just smudge it out and you’ll look instantly more sexy. Like gonna-get-a-kiss-new-years-eve sexy. Go get em, tiger.

GLITTER EYESHADOW:

Ohhhhh man. This stuff. I am totally obsessed. If I didn’t have enough glittery products already — might as well add these to the list amiright??? They are super shimmery when patted on but when you blend – they do lose some of that sparkle. I also recommend use them wet because the color is WAY more vibrant that way.

This look is super smokey with some glitter — like I said, perfect for New Years Eve. If anyone wants a more specific tutorial, I am more than happy to film! Just drop a comment letting me know!

  1. Oooooh! I would be in heaven with all that good stuff. I have never actually tried this brand myself, but I have always heard very good things!!

  2. I have not tried many Physicians Formula products, but I definitely will once I run out of my other products. I have tried and love the Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara [in the tan tube with green leaf lid]. It is by far my favorite mascara! I have tried a few other mascaras by them, and they do not compare.

  3. Maybe I’ll try the butter bronzer, as I am also “pale as heck” and need some sort of glow to my complexion! I love hearing about new products, so this will be fun to test out on myself!

  4. What awesome products! I’ll admit I’m not very good at doing makeup but I think I could get a handle on it with these cool products. Thanks for linking to all of them! I love ULTA so it’s nice to see you can get them there!

  5. We must try that butter bronzer and glitter eye shadow. I know my girls would love it, but obviously, Mom gets to try it first. I am always looking for new make-up products. Physicians formula looks like a great brand.

  6. That Physicians Formula is beautiful and right in my price range. I need to pick that up! You’re makeup is always so on point!

  7. Omg I just love Physician’s Formula! they make such awesome and pretty makeup!!!! Love the price as well!!!!!
