Happy TUESDAY! I’ve been ALL about the new beauty products coming in this fall from my favorite drugstore brands and one of my favorite things in the world is reviewing products I think you guys will LOVE. Luckily, I’ve found the one product you need need need in your life this winter: the brand new Olay MISTS! They have two formulas – energizing and calming – which means you can pick whichever one suits your needs at the moment. I personally am going to be highlighting the calming mist because that definitely what I need more of these days. I’ve been totally keyed up with all the craziness of life and sometimes it is SO nice to be able to relax with a calming face mist. Let’s dive into this.
Olay Mist: Calming Ultimate Hydration Essence REVIEW

WHY:
This mist is so appropriate for those who have dry skin (so for all of us who struggle in the winter because it has aloe leaf and chamomile. It also helps to release tight skin that can happen due to over washing and under moisturizing. The chamomile is also amazing because it has soothing properties AND is rich in antioxidants which is so, so good for your skin. This of this as the ultimate airplane buddy. I never lead home without a facial mist when I travel. The calming mist is also formulated with Vitamin B3 and glycerin which both help to reduce wrinkles, reduce uneven skintone, help heal acne and reduce hyper-pigmentation.
WHEN:
I love using the calming mist right after I put my makeup on, partway through the day to revive and once more in the evening to boost my face if I need to go out to dinner or meet clients. It just helps the makeup on my face not settle into my fine lines PLUS, it leaves my skin with a healthy dew and glow which it always exactly that I’m looking for in a facial mist. It revives my face after a long day of makeup, and keeps me looking and feeling fresh.
In addition – like I mentioned above – this would be perfect to pack when you are traveling (regardless of whether you drive or fly). You skin tends to lose a ton of moisture when you travel because of poor air quality and this can really help to recharge your skin.
WHERE:
Uhhhhh….does literally anywhere count? I keep one at my desk, one at my makeup vanity, one in my car, one in my suitcase….that sounds excessive but it’s for real. Because you can use this ANYWHERE to revive dull skin during the day, why limit it to use just at home? They are affordable, so pick up a few and keep them anywhere you think you would need a pick me up. If you work out of the house, try keeping one at work and one at home! That way you can still look just as fresh when you leave the office as when you get there in the morning.
ANOTHER PERK: The bottle for the calming mist is plastic which I actually love. I have a ton of awesome facial mists I love….but they’re in glass bottles. I just don’t feel comfortable traveling or carrying around a glass bottle that can so easily break. These are slim, plastic and sturdy. I definitely don’t worry about tossing one in my tote bag and it shattering all over my stuff.

I will probably do a round up soon of all of my favorite facial mists – and you can guarantee this one is going to be at the top of my list. Scientists have called facial mists the toners of 2018 so don’t miss the boat on this trend (which I think is definitely going to stand the test of time).
