Face Chart Recreation Challenge

Happy, Happy #beautymonday you beautiful things! It’s SOLAR ECLIPSE DAY. WHAAAAT. While everyone is out freaking out about the sun for 3.5 minutes, I am going to be chilling with my cats and not trusting the sunglasses everyone has (I’m secretly a conspiracy theorist — don’t mind my tinfoil hat over here). Today’s video is a Face Chart recreation! Face Charts are commonly used by makeup artists to practice looks before they create them on a models face, but there are entire Pinterest and Instagram accounts dedicated to these charts to pull inspiration from. I used a purple/lime green/bright blue makeup look to recreate, and loved the way it turned out! Check out the video below!

OK. SO. If you watched the video in it’s entirety (and I know this one was long — there was a lot to cover. Bless you if you watched the whole thing), you’ll notice I had a hard time blending and getting the colors to be as pigmented as I wanted them to be. The look definitely came together at the end, but it took me a LOT longer than I anticipated to get it the way I wanted it to. I opted to leave my mistakes/corrections in the video to show you that mistakes happen, and they are almost ALWAYS fixable. Seriously. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
