Fun fact: literally nobody wants to be all dressed up and looking amazing – only to find out that the dress pokes you in the shoulder blade and these shoes are giving you SERIOUS blisters. And honestly, when it comes to dressing for the summer, I’ve been living by the mantra that you don’t have to be uncomfortable to look TOTALLY AMAZING and it’s pretty much changed my life. This entire outfit is honestly one of favs for looking amazing but feeling super comfy. This t-shirt dress is actually fabulous and SO SO soft to the touch – and right now only $36.99 (PLUS you get an additional 25% off at checkout) – so let’s dive into styling it.
Comfy Chic: How To Dress Up The ULTIMATE T-Shirt Dress

The T-Shirt Dress.
This sweatshirt dress is amazing because it’s made of incredibly soft cotton (like can’t-stop-touching-it soft) and it’s so slouchy and flattering. It falls on all the right places and hugs everywhere you need it to hug, which easily covering everything else – GOD BLESS. I also wanted to be able to show a little leg because hello, summer, and this falls right below mid-thigh so #achieved. While I don’t usually LOVE screw necks, this one has a cute little triangle sewn into the collar that reminds me of my husbands favorite sweatshirts that have actually been on my side of closet since we started dating so I don’t mind. AND IT HAS POCKETS. DEEP POCKETS. That alone sold me if nothing else did.
The other thing that really stood out to me about this dress is the season versatility. I can absolutely wear it for summer – it’s light enough that it lets air flow in and doesn’t make me sweat and short enough that it looks really cute with heeled sandals. BUT. I am actually MORE excited to style this for fall because I think you could style it REALLY cute with an oversized cardigan and knee high boots. I am sure you guys will see it show up again come October.
It’s stocked in every size right now and as mentioned above – is only $36.99 (PLUS you get an additional 25% off at checkout). I am pretty certain it doesn’t get better than that for a dress like this. I’m a big believer in comfort and you will be able to look TOTALLY put together but feel like you’re in your pajamas when wearing this dress. If that isn’t a win, I don’t know what is.

How To Accessorize It.
There are three ways I think that work to accessorize this dress. 1. Black 2. White 3. tan/lt. brown. Not that you CAN’T add pops of color (and I highly encourage it in your lipstick & earring colors), but this dress honestly just calls for easy neutral colors and they WORK. I opted for black and gold accessories this time around and I felt SUPER polished and put together. These black shoes are $40 and so surprisingly comfortable that I wore them 3 days in a row just to make sure I wasn’t kidding myself. They are good support and the thick heel makes them super easy to walk in. I also think the laces tie the perfect tightness without making my foot feel like it’s squished into sausage casing. This purse is my go-to black crossbody from Coach YEARS ago – but any sleek black purse will do. I think a good shiny black clutch would look AMAZING. This belt is a Target fav and it’s my absolute favorite gold belt I own. I’ve never been able to find another glittery gold skinny belt like this before – but I’ll keep on the search for you guys. For jewelry, I went with a neutral pop: mustard. These are the cutest little earrings and they sold out SO FAST but here is a fun alternative for only $15. I love the mustard tassels – but they don’t call TOO much attention to themselves.
If you want to accessorize with white, I would go with some easy white sneakers (think Adidas or Converse or Keds), a white tote bag and a white arm party (think white watch, and stacked bracelets). This would be so chic and so fun for summer. I like how blank the outfit slate is – and then I would do a bright lip or eye to balance everything out.
And if tan/light brown is more your cup of tea, I’d go for a good pair of brown sandals, a cute brown tote or easy cross body and a fun leather belt. This keeps your outfit neutral but still brings casual chic style to the table. You will look put together in the simplest way. I’d actually stick with a neutral eye with this look and add a really pretty shimmery nude gloss to your lips for shine. The different textures of the outfit with pull together that way!
