Hey, hey friends! So usually, I would do a tutorial on my BoxyCharm products – but this month’s box didn’t really lend itself a full review so instead I thought I’d review the products individually, blog-style (especially since I mentioned them in this month’s monthly obsessions post). If this is your first time reading my BoxyCharm reviews – be sure to check out last month’s box tutorial! It’s a full tutorial with the full sized eyeshadow palette that was included. 🙂  To check out what’s inside this box, and to see if this is something that you wanna sign up for, keep on reading! Let’s dive into this.

BoxyCharm Unboxing + Review | July 2018

Boxy Charm Unboxing + Review | July 2018

If you have never head of BoxyCharm, let me lay it out for you: BoxyCharm is a beauty subscription box (one of my favs) that is $21 a month. For those $21 a month, you get 5 full sized products (a HUGE steal) and each box is always worth over $100. This particular box is worth $129.00. Almost each product in this box is worth more than $21 each, so that tells you how good of a deal it is!

Dr. Brandt No More Baggage | $42.00

This stuff is….actually magic? #dramatic #buttrue I really didn’t expect it to work as well as it did, if I’m being completely honest. As someone who has ALWAYS struggled with under eye circles – this is a lifesaver for me now. It actually depuffs my eyes in the morning and my circles are much easier to cover with less concealer. If you have puffy undereyes or dark circles – this product would be worth investing in.

Tarte Ready, Set, Radiant Mist | $25.00

Ok this was the product I was MOST excited about. I about squealed when I realized this was a full size Tarte product. This is one of my all-time favorite brands and I LOOOVE this product. I think it’s on par with the Urban Decay all-nighter spray in terms of keeping my makeup on all day, so having a full sized bottle to add to my collection is super exciting. It’s products like these that make BoxyCharm IDEAL for new makeup collectors. Setting sprays are a staple to any collection, and this is a great high-end brand.

Wander Beauty Unlashed Volume and Curl Mascara | $24.00

I am LOVING the new mascara tubes vs bottles. I have seen several companies moving to squeeze tubes and I am here for it. It makes it so much easier to get ALL of the product out before it dries out. Instead of pumping your tube to get the last drop, you can just squeeze the extra product to the top and eliminate extra air in the tube (which can prematurely dry out your product). This mascara is super black and doesn’t flake which is awesome. The only downside is it’s a little bit glossy, where I prefer a matte mascara (but this isn’t a super deal breaker).

Note Cosmetics Luminous Silk Compact Blusher | $11.99

This blush was in perfect condition until my husband opened it and broke the hinge on the container it’s in. #fail So, word to the wise, be gentle with the blush hinge. The color is BEAUTIFUL and will be perfect for fall. I’m not sure if everyone got different colors – but I received the 05 – Desert Rose shade. It was surprisingly more pigment than I thought it would be and the peachy hue is SO lovely in person. 10/10 would recommend. PLUS: so affordable.

Chella Beauty Eyebrow Cream | $26.00

This is probably my least favorite product this month, only because I think the packaging is really impractical. I really like the product itself and the color pay out, but here are a few cons for me: the applicator brush is too thick. I will never use it. I love the color of the product and the actual consistency, BUT it comes in this little tiny skinny tube that you can barely fit a brush in and I image if I were to use all the way to the bottom, it would be really tough to get the remaining product out. I wish the tube was shaped more like the Benefit Ka-Brow, where it includes the brush at the top but fattens out at the bottom so it looks like a little pot. Same concept, but better executed. I would not spend $26 on it due to packaging alone. HOWEVER, one flop in the whole box isn’t bad at all and it wasn’t even an issue with the quality of the product itself.

PIN THIS FOR LATER:

Moral of the story – 4/5 would recommend products is a pretty good steal for me. I would repurchase the setting spray, mascara, no baggage, and blush. I love that I had so many wins this month and I always get SO excited when I think about the next month. I would recommend this box over Ipsy and Birchbox because of the fact that you get full size products. I know that it’s a little bit more expensive but #worthit in my opinion.
