Happy Wednesday, everyone!!! I am so excited about this post. This past weekend, my mom threw me the most BEAUTIFUL baby shower I could have ever asked for. So many of my friends and family were able to make the party and I have never felt more loved in my entire life. It was almost overwhelming to be surrounded by so many people who wanted to wish me and the new baby luck on this grand adventure. My dear, dear friend Emily was able to photograph the whole day and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have these incredible images documented forever. You typically only do a big baby shower like this once – and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Let’s do this.

BABY BOY SHOWER + BABY NAME REVEAL

This post is sponsored by MyRegistry. All opinions are mine and mine alone.

Let’s start off with what everyone is wanting to know..what the heck is this baby’s name?! But honestly, I’ve been the WORST at keeping this a secret so most of you probably know what it is but IF YA DON’T….here it is:

JACK HENRY MOBLEY

That’s right – baby boy Mobley’s name is Jack! We have loved this name from way before we got pregnant and always said if we had a boy, his name would be Jack. We originally had a different middle name planned, but when we came across Henry, we knew it was for our son. Adam and I have really loved that older names are coming back into style. Jack is obviously pretty popular, and it almost deterred us from naming him that, but at the end of the day – I also had a popular name growing up (Taylor Anne Smith) and I turned out alright so we decided it didn’t matter to us. We love the name and that is what matters. Jack Henry – we cannot wait to meet you!!!!

Now onto the shower.

FIRST THINGS FIRST. I got the biggest surprise of my life when I opened my door the day before the shower and one of my best friends in the world was on my doorstep. Some how – Erica and my mom had kept this HUGE SECRET for MONTHS and I had no idea. It was so amazing to be able to spend one of the most special days of my life with her!

So many people came together to make this a possibility. We had a few friends pitch in to bring some of the food and Costco helped us out with the rest. The shower was from 1pm-3pm, so we wanted to make sure there was lunch involved (not just for the guests…honestly it was me…I needed the lunch….). We had sandwiches, pasta salad, fruit salad, chips and salad. They were a big hit and it gave me the burst of energy I needed to power through all that gift opening. 😉

The desserts were the actual best. We ordered our cake and cake pops from Cake Pops by Angela and she really knocked it out of the park. The cake pops were Oreo flavored and were absolutely mouth-watering. I probably could have had four. The cake was two flavors. The top layer was almond and the bottom was chocolate. I’m still eating the chocolate slices, tbh. The table desserts were an assortment of different things: 1. Cookies by Haley made the custom Jack cookies. They were delicious and so beautiful! 2. My AMAZING mama + friends made the chocolate covered pretzels, macarons and the m&m cookies. 3. Erica and I made the puppy chow ourselves and it was DELICIOUS.

All of the decorations around the shower were a hodge podge mix of things. We got the balloons and party games from Party City. The blue chair is from my darling friend Grace Freeman, a local wedding planner. The rest of the decor was provided by my friend Erin, who graciously hosted the party at her beautiful home.

Emily Broadbent, as I mentioned above, captured ALL of the stunning images of the shower. She is not only an incredible human being (a true joy to be around) but she’s a fantastic business owner, ThinkBig alum, and crazy talented behind the camera. I am so happy with every single image she took of the shower – I will have these memories forever and I cannot thank her enough. Check out her website HERE!!

I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful party to celebrate the arrival of Baby Jack. I am more ready than ever to become this boy’s mama!!!

I miss him a lot since he passed away several years ago, so knowing that there will be a beautiful little Jack out there when you have your baby just makes me so happy.
