The last time we were in Disney World – our oldest was 2 and our middle child was 11 weeks old. Now that we have three kids, we wanted to squeeze in a trip while our youngest is still under three. Now our trip is just a few weeks away, and because I’m perpetually prepared and this trip requires SO much preparation! I love doing matching / coordinating family outfits that go with the park, and I like to have all the things ready to go. So let’s jump into the fun part: the outfits (and some Disney essentials I won’t be leaving without).

Ultimate Disney World Packing Guide for a Family of 5!

We are planning on rope-dropping and staying through dinner, and I’ll have a full itinerary blog post go live before we leave, but I’m still making food reservations / getting a game plan together for which rides we are planning to hit as it’s just Adam and I with our three kids on this trip. We likely won’t be doing too many of the adult-tall people rides, and we are highly prioritizing rides we can all do together.

DISNEY SPRINGS

For Disney Springs – we always go classic Disney & kind of match our resort. For the boys, we went with a Cars theme. We are staying at the Art of Animation resort, which has Radiator Springs in it, so it is a great way to incorporate some of my boys’ favorite characters. Alice and I did a classic red and a white Minnie moment!

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

Adam shopped from a really awesome shop called Corner of Main that had the coolest Disney merch for men that doesn’t feel overly “Disney” so he went with a Hollywood Elevator Co. shirt as a nod to the Tower of Terror. The kids and I went Toy Story because the last time we were here, we did Star Wars so I wanted to do something different!! Plus — the kids know and love the characters in Toy Story. Jack chose Woody as his character, Noah wanted Rex (so on brand for him, tbh) and I couldn’t find a Jessie outfit I liked for Alice, so I went with a cute jersey dress with a bunch of Toy Story characters on it. I found the cutest ears for me, and went with a fun oversized tee and boxer shorts.

ANIMAL KINGDOM

I looooove this day! It’s so cute! Alice and I went classic with black and animal print, and the boys went Lion King. Adam chose a Kilimanjaro safari shirt (again: this shop has the COOLEST shirts for guys).

EPCOT

We didn’t do Epcot last time because the boys were so little and there just isn’t all that much for kids to do — but I actually love Epcot and I’m looking forward to doing the rides and snacking our way through the park. We went more generic Disney for this day — I picked a cute oversized snacking shirt, and put the boys in vintage inspired mickeys. Alice is in a really cute Minnie shirt with pink shorts. Adam went with a Guardians of the Galaxy themed tee!

MAGIC KINGDOM

This is arguably the best part of our entire week. I love to leave Magic Kingdom for last because it’s just SUCH a high to leave on. Alice and I channeled Disney Princesses with our pink dresses, and the boys went Classic Mickey. I absolutely LOVE the Hot Diggity Dog shirt for Jack. Adam picked out the coolest Space Mountain shirt.

Just a note: we also packed some princess dress up dresses for Alice for all the days and plan on bringing a few to Epcot (her Elsa and Anna) & Magic Kingdom (Ariel and Cinderella).

SOME EXTRA DISNEY ESSENTIALS

I included our autograph book, things we need for the park weather-wise, our ears, the kids’ bubble wands that we always buy ahead of time ($12 vs $50) and some other things that will make your trip run smoother!!
