Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals Vol. 1 Palette TUTORIAL + REVIEW
REVIEW:
Ok, ok. So this year, I am trying very hard not to buy ANYTHING that doesn’t speak to me. Last year, I bought most of the new releases if I didn’t get them in PR, and it led to a lot of waste. SO. This year, I am determined to be as selective as possible in my purchases so that I bring you only content I’m really passionate or genuinely curious about. That being said: as SOON as this Textured Neutrals palette launched – I knew I needed it. It was not a want. It was a NEED.
I haven’t been this excited to get a palette in …. at LEAST over a year. I actually cannot remember the last time I was this stoked to get a palette in the mail honestly. The way the palette is set up is very unique, and exactly how I wish EVERY palette forever would be set up. She has six rows across, four up. Each row has a name and then the pans going up are named the same with different finishes. Hello. GENIUS.
This allows the palette to be one of the most cohesive palettes on the market. I could honestly make almost any eye look I wanted to with the colors in the palette. I read some complaints online that said there were enough transitions shades but you can MAKE them with the colors in the palette so that really isn’t an issue! This could truly be the only palette someone needs if they primarily wear neutrals.
There is a row of matte, a row of sequin, a row of metallic and a row of glitter. The sequin formula is my personal favorite. It’s a matte base with glitter in it and her formula is the best I’ve ever seen of this kind of shadow. It adds the most subtle depth to an eye look. The metallics are creamy and SO shiny. They are ultra reflective. The glitters are created with a sort of gel base so they stick really well on their own without a glitter glue. The mattes are blendable, velvety and so easy to use. I have been able to wear this palette in a new way every day and I haven’t reached for a single other palette since I got it.
The quality is so, so good. She labeled this palette “vol. 1” so I REALLY hope she comes out with more palettes in this style. I am able to create an endless amount of beautifully cohesive looks with just a few swipes of my brush. I can lighten all of the colors when I add them to the Aura shade, or I can darken them up when I add them to Memory. It makes it so easy to transition, blend and add depth. Soothe is the perfect warm brown. Ritual is a nice chocolatey shade. Story is that scarlet red shade that is perfect for fall. Poet is a deep, warm plum. The metallic shades all have really unique undertones, too. For example – Poet is a beautiful purple shade but it shifts with a warm pinky red. The sequin shade in Poet is a matte purple with blue and pink glitters. They’re so unique and SO comfortable on the eye.
I am very impressed with Tati’s brand so far. I was a LITTLE disappointed that her second launch was for the beauty puff instead of another palette but I have hope that another palette is in the works! This one retails for $45, which is a great price for the pan size and the quality. So far, the brand has been very drama-free (unlike other beauty YouTube launches) and I appreciate that!
