Every year, we pull out all the stops for our family Halloween costume, and this year was no exception! I’m completely OBSESSED with Halloween, and it seems like everyone else in the house has joined in the fun. This year, we decided to go with a Peter Pan theme. I was Wendy, Adam was Captain Hook, Jack was Peter Pan, Noah was a Lost Boy, and Alice was the cutest little Tinkerbell you could imagine! I dreamed my whole life of dressing my kids up every year and this year just took the cake for me. It was everything.

Picking out our costumes was such a blast this year. I loved putting together my Wendy outfit – I went with the classic dress and bow. Adam went all out as Captain Hook with his pirate coat and hook – but his wig was hilarious. He was compared to an 80s rock band hook and now I can’t see anything else. Jack was so excited to be Peter Pan in his green outfit, while Noah rocked his Lost Boy look (he growled at everyone all night, it was hilarious). And Alice in her little sparkly wings? We couldn’t get over her.

We kicked off Halloween with a trunk or treat night at our church, which is always a highlight. My dad brings his ’59 Ranchero to hand out candy, and it’s such a fun vibe. The kids get super excited, and it’s a great chance to hang out with friends while the little ones run around in their costumes. We did two trunk or treats this year – Jack’s kindergarten one and our church one. The kids loved both.

For trick-or-treating, we went with some of Jack’s kindergarten classmates, and Noah did his best to keep up with his big brother. Watching them zoom from house to house was the best. They were giggling and filling up their bags with candy, and there was SO much old-school Halloween nostalgia.

What I love about our family costumes is how they create these amazing memories. We spent the night laughing, trick-or-treating, and just enjoying the Halloween spirit. I can’t wait to see what theme we come up with next year—maybe something totally different! Until then, I’m soaking in all the Peter Pan magic from this year!
