We were able to travel to Park City, Utah this past week for the first time to spend a few days with family and it was absolutely WONDERFUL. We love getting out and exploring new places with the kids and we love sharing our favorite parts. We were able to stay at my aunt’s gorgeous Park City home which saved us tons on accommodation and provided some great perks – but I’ll link some highly rated airbnb recommendations from friends in case you want to look into those! Don’t forget to bookmark this post should you want to come back here with your own family!!

Park City, Utah Vacation Recap: Where We Stayed, What We Did, Food We Ate!

First things first: we stayed in a gated community called The Promontory which is about 15 minutes from downtown Park City – which was totally ideal so consider checking the location of your airbnb before coming to make sure you are near enough for downtown activities. It was the perfect length of time to be able to get out and drive to restaurants, etc. without feeling like we were spending valuable time driving to and from locations.

WHERE WE ATE:

We did brunch at the most DELISH place downtown called Five 5eeds. It was totally unique and farm-to-table style, and I WILL be thinking about this breakfast sandwich for days, probably. Everyone loved their meals and the kids DEVOURED their pancake stack (so much so that they cleared their plates were asking for more). 10/10 recommend – make this a stop on your trip!

Bartolo’s was our Italian dinner stop and it was great! While we don’t recommend ordering the steak (it was less than impressive) – their Italian dishes were phenomenal. I had a caprese pasta with grilled chicken and it was SO good, and the kids loved their fettuccine Alfredo. The bread that came to the table was great, and we’d definitely go back for good Italian.

Hearth and Hill was another dinner spot – and another local farm-to-table restaurant. The tacos were fantastic – and the only downside was that we couldn’t take them home to eat because we were leaving the next day. 😉 This was a super vibey place, too – and would be great for a little bit of a fancier bite!

Atticus Coffee & Tea Shop was a great place to stop as you’re walking in downtown. The chai tea latte is fabulous and everything ordered was really enjoyed!! It’s great place to grab something warm (if it’s winter) or icy if it’s summer!

WHAT WE DID:

If you have a chance – we highly recommend renting some mountain / electric bikes and doing biking on one of the hundreds of hiking trails in the area. Adam and I did this almost every night we were there (praise be for grandparents being on the trip so we could head out after the kids went to bed), and it was amazing. The sun sets so much later in Utah than in Missouri so we were able to put the kids down and then go bike and watch the sunset from up on the trails. It was really one of the best “dates” we’ve had in a long time and we were able to really connect and enjoy each other’s company without 3 kids hanging off of us.

POOL DAY! We spent one of the days at the man-made lake & beautiful pool at the Promontory and it was amazing. The view from the beach club was gorgeous and the food was SO yummy. We had jumbo shrimp, burgers, hot dogs, an amazing charcuterie board and they had an awesome selection of mocktails. This was the highlight of the trip for most of the people in our party. They also had kayaking / paddle boarding on the lake so we were able to enjoy that as well.

Downtown Park City was another stop while we were there. There are tons of cute coffee shops, art galleries, shops and more. I highly recommend taking the ski lift up to the top of the mountain – such a fun way to get to the top of the downtown area!

We also spent a ton of time riding the golf cart through the beautiful scenery, petting the horses at the local equestrian center, eating ice cream on the front porch while the sun set. My aunt’s home came equipped with a home theater with giant bean bags and 4 arcade games so we also spent a lot of time doing family movie nights after dinner and playing on the arcade games. SO much really good family time was had and I’m so grateful for it.

We will very likely be back again to visit with family and enjoy more of what Park City has to offer and we are so excited to see even more!
