Happy #BEAUTYMONDAY. Another week is upon us (how did the weekend fly by so fast??) but regardless of how you feel, I hope this post is a fun pick me up for you. So let’s talk about extensions. I have been TOTALLY against them for a loooong, long time. I always thought “there’s no way those can look real” and basically wrote them off for being too much work. When halo couture extensions reached out to me and wanted to do a sponsored post, I almost said no! But then, I thought, what the heck. Other people wear them and look amazing. Why not me? So. I did it. Let’s jump into it.

Halo Couture Hair Extensions

This post is sponsored by Halo Couture Hair Extensions. All opinions are mine and mine alone.

About The Brand:

Halo Couture specializes in halo extensions. This means they are NOT clip in extensions. They are on a halo wire that sits on the crown of your head. They use 100% Remy hair, which is great because that means you can heat styles these babies. They do NOT damage your hair because they do not require a lengthy process in a salon chair with no glue, no clips and no weaving. You can pull it on and off as you want, which makes it the perfect hair accessory when you want to change up your look.

My Experience:

I was NOT convinced the first time I put these on. My straight hair did not blend well into the extensions. I was impressed, however, with the feeling of the extensions. They are silky soft and really thick. WAY thicker than my natural hair. I loved how long they were. I haven’t had long hair in FOUR years. In fact — my husband hasn’t actually ever seen me in long hair.

I decided to give these another go but curl them into my hair this time to see if they would blend a little better. I’m really glad I did because it worked like a CHARM. My hair blended beautifully with the extensions and it will be a fun way to change up my look every now and then.

How Do You Put Them In:

This is super easy. You simply place the the halo on the crown of your head and pull some of your real hair to cover the top of the extensions. The weight of your real hair holds it in place and it feels really natural.

Do I Recommend Them To Others:

I actually would! If you are like me and don’t want permanent extensions (I actually love my short hair), this is the perfect way to do a really fast change. If just cut your hair and really miss your loss tresses, this is an easy way to ease yourself into having shorter hair. It only takes a few minutes to slip it on and pull your hair through it. SO YES. I definitely recommend these beautiful extensions (especially because they feel like real hair).

  1. I wear my hair short and like it that way, but because of working in the hair industry I have a lot of friends who wear extensions regularly! They can definitely change your whole look!

  2. Your hair looks AMAZING! I have really long hair, but I sometimes wear extensions for a little volume and VA-VA Voom rather than length.

  3. How can I use your “Taylor30” code if the hair extensions are only sold to licensed hairdressers or need to be ordered through a hair salon?

    1. Sorry for the confusion Jenna! This reminded me I needed to update this post. 🙂 My hairdresser had them on her website, but the code is not longer valid. Sorry about that!!

  4. I purchased my 16 inch set & it was beautiful. Straight & silky. Once I washed them with the kit that Halo makes especially for their extensions, they look wavy & frizzy. I am sad that I even washed them in the first place. I don’t think there’s any recourse with the company so guess I will make do. Color is a good match, at least, for my naturally strawberry blonde hair.
