Happy Thursday! It’s the second week of my Halloween Tutorial Series and we are on #4: Exposed Face Muscles. I kind of love this one because, as most of you know, I am have a biochemistry degree and took many anatomy classes over the course of my college years. This brings back happy (and unhappy) memories of me, myself and I holed up in the library with textbooks, energy drinks and 5lb bags of sour patch kids. Any who, I love anatomy and the human body so trying to match the muscles underneath my face was both annoying and really satisfying when it was all said and done. I hope my tutorial helps you recreate this yourself this season! Enjoy!

Halloween Tutorial Series: Exposed Face Muscles
I think this look came out really neat — it obviously isn’t 100% anatomically correct (that would be a bear and a half to try and tackle without it turning into a muddy red and brown mess), but for a fun Halloween look, I don’t think it’s half bad!
The biggest thing to remember when trying to recreate this look is to take your time and don’t skip the little details. The looks I’m tackling this year are more advanced than I have been in the past because my skill level is growing. That definitely doesn’t mean you won’t be able to do them — but means that you may not be able to breeze through them as quickly as before! I find I am getting a LOT of use out of my little detail brushes for these looks!

This one is so cool! I like that it’s different so you won’t have to worry about having the same spooky makeup as someone else on Halloween!
Thanks girl! It is definitely unique 🙂
This looks incredible, I’m so impressed with your makeup skills! I love the idea of using makeup to create a costume instead of spending a lot of money on an outfit.
