Fall Staples IN MY CLOSET – Must-Haves For Autumn

It’s 100 degrees out right now and I wish I was joking. Alas – I am not. SIGH. Hopefully wherever you are in the world has weather more reminiscent of FALL. I’m going to continue to pretend that it’s fall here and wear all my fall clothes anyways. I may burn up from heat exhaustion – but I’m going to look dang cute doing it. 😉 I rounded up all the items in my closet I pull out every year as STAPLES for autumn (aka: classic pieces that never go out of style). I don’t have exact links for everything mentioned, but I’m going to share all of my current links of things I’m stocking up on and I you won’t be disappointed it. Let’s jump into it!

Fall Staples IN MY CLOSET – Must-Haves For Autumn

Cheetah Mules

Cheetah is a MUST.HAVE for me personally – and these mules are INCREDIBLE. They are SO comfortable (Dr. Scholls is my all time favorite shoe company). I wore them like crazy when I was pregnant and now that it’s fall and I’m running around with a newborn, I need them more than ever. They go with everything!

Chunky Knit Sweater

Pick your favorite color – this should be a staple for EVERYONE. Chunky sweaters are my favorite thing in the world. They keep you warm and they are super stylish. I love oversized styles – so I always size up for a cozy fit.

 

Cowl Neck Sweater

These are PERFECT when you don’t want to wear a scarf. I don’t always want the extra bulk, but my neck tends to get a little chilly – so this kills 2 birds with 1 stone. Love love love love.

Dark Flare Leg Denim

You need a couple good pair of jeans for this time of year and I always vote for a good flare leg. They look amazing with booties (score) and are chic to boot. 

Dark High Waisted Denim

This is my other go-to pair of good denim. I always go high-waisted because they look a lot more flattering on my postpartum body and bonus: you can do the cute front tuck with sweaters and tees. 

Black Booties

These are standard in my fall wardrobe. Who doesn’t love a good, comfortable black bootie? Goes with everything. What more do ya need?

Burnt Orange Corduroy Mini Skirt

This is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE pieces I own. It’s absolutely adorable and you can wear it a million different ways. I’ve worn it with a black turtle neck + faux fur vest, a white graphic tee + booties, a black and white buffalo plaid top + over-the-knee boots. Options are ENDLESS.

Khaki Cargo Jacket

The perfect layering piece, I swear! There are a million versions of this around but I love this one. It comes in a bunch of color but I’m partial to this neutral khaki shade. 

Plaid Blanket Scarf

I have blanket scarves in at least 10 colors in my closet. They are awesome when you need to layer up for the chillier part of fall. I like that you can use them for scarfs, vests or blankets.

Faux Fur Vest

I finally had to get rid of my cream faux fur vest last year. Unfortunately, after 5 years, it started to fall apart. I ordered the above vest to replace it and it’s ADORABLE. This style has been around for awhile and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere fast.

Tall Brown Boots

These are a must-have. They are comfortable, cute and warm. Brown boots are classics just like black booties. 10/10 recommend.

Wide Brim Hat

This is a fun new addition to my must-haves list. I have them in a few colors and they really complete an outfit.
