Happy Fri-YAY, friends! It’s been a HOT second since I posted an easy hair tutorial but this is one of my favorite looks to do around the holidays (it’s perfect for Thanksgiving because it gets your hair out of your face but doesn’t look TOO fancy. It also looks WAY harder than it actually is, and I promise you will get compliments on it left and right. I know how easy is can be to get into a hair rut – especially when your hair is shoulder length. So let’s get this holiday hair rolling.
Easy Holiday Hair Tutorial: AN EASY UPDO
PRODUCTS USED:
Bumble & Bumble Dryspun Texturizing Spray
Bobby Pins
Clear Elastics
Teasing Comb
PRO TIPS:
1) if you have longer hair that won’t be held only by bobby pins, use the clear elastics to secure each bun, then pull apart to look piece-y and pin them together so there isn’t separation. That way you keep the style without it falling out or losing it’s general shape.
2) spray your hair with the texturizing spray while curling to set the texture, and then again after you style to make sure the matte finish and texture holds throughout the day. Finish with a light hold hairspray to help it last without stiffening the lived-in look.
PIN THIS FOR LATER:
Like I said, this is a crazy easy hair tutorial and it will work with anything from shoulder length hair and longer. I like this, too, because it doesn’t slick my hair back to my head so I feel like I have some volume and hair framing my face. It will also hold all day long, and because of the texturizing spray, it has that really pretty matte look I love in updos so much.
