BoxyCharm Unboxing + Review | February 2019

Happy Thursday, everyone!! I hope you are having the best start to your week. We have been busy busy busy prepping for our next doctors appt: we are finding out the gender of Baby Mobley in T-MINUS 8 DAYS! Stay tuned… 😉 But until then – we have other important matters to discuss: this month’s BOXYCHARM! You guys know I love me some BoxyCharm and it is my favorite subscription service for makeup and skincare out there. I love the full sized products, the range of stuff they send monthly and I love that I am almost NEVER disappointed with a box. There have been things I don’t love here and there – but 90% of the time I’m STOKED about the products I received. The boxes are always worth over $100 so for $21 / month, it’s totally worth it to me. Let’s jump into the products from this month!

BoxyCharm Unboxing + Review | February 2019

This month’s theme is After Glow – and all the products are to give you an easy, glowy, naturally beautiful look (which I am SO a fan of).

TooFaced Better Than Sex Mascara – $24

This is one of my holy grail mascaras but I haven’t had it in forever due to trying out a bunch of other mascaras. I’m SO happy to have this back in my mascara rotation. If you have never tried this mascara before: you are SERIOUSLY missing out. It became super popular a few years ago due to it’s innovative hourglass shaped brush, and it’s top of the line in volumizing. It’s a SUPER black formula which is great, and I’ve never had an issue with flaking like I do with other mascaras. So worth the $24 in my opinion.

Pretty Vulgar Bronzed B Bronzer – $32

This brand has really been up and coming for me. They’ve been included in a few BoxyCharms the last few months now – and I have really liked everything they’ve sent. This bronzer is really pigmented so you have to be careful with how much you put on your face or you will end up with a “dirt” type look. It blends easily but it probably is a TOUCH too dark for me in the winter. I think it’ll be the perfect shade when I have a tan in the summer. It’s very matte so there isn’t any shimmer or sparkle in it (which I prefer in a bronzer). I DO think it’s a bit pricey for a bronzer ($32??) but that’s what is so great about BoxyCharm! 

Touch In Sol No Poreblem Primer – $18

I’ve never used this brand before – but I was super impressed with this primer. It only use it on my t-zone because it is good at cutting oil but it also is a silicone based primer so it can clog pores if you aren’t careful. I don’t need oil control on my cheeks – so I don’t need to put it there. It does an AWESOME job filling my fine lines on my forehead and around my mouth and really mattifies my face. Plus – it isn’t on the super pricey side so I’d definitely pick it up again if I ran out.

Sol De Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream – $20

I WAS SO EXCITED TO GET THIS IN MY BOX. I am obsessed with their original lotion – like OBSESSED – and I was STOKED when they decided to come out with another lotion. This is a really interesting gel type lotion (they call it oil-in-water) and it isn’t greasy at all. It claims to have long lasting moisture for visibly hydrated skin. I don’t like the smell QUITE as much as I do the other lotion (it’s more coconut-y) but it’s still super pleasant and really does hydrate my skin. It’s been great on my dry hands and I’ve been using it sparingly on my belly when I feel itchy and tight.

Nudestix Magnetic Luminous Eye Color – $24

I love Nudestix!! I have a bunch of their products from working with them last year – and this is one of my favorite formulas for eye colors! I love the color: copper foil. As soon as I get a little bit of a tan – this color will be amazing by itself with a little bit of mascara. It’s so stunning and such a pretty metallic pop on your eyes. PLUS – it doesn’t crease and it stays all day long.
