HAPPY MONDAY. I know it’s not our usual #beautymonday but I’m switching it up because this week is Thanksgiving so I have a lot of holiday gift guide content this week!! Today, I wanted to share the easiest Thanksgiving Day outfit. I’m OBSESSED with this kind of look, plus it’s comfortable enough to wear without showcasing that food baby for the world to see. 😉 I also wanted to share some Black Friday details from one of my favorite shops: My Sister’s Closet Boutique!! This top is from their shop so I’ll be linking it directly below. IF YOU WANNA SEE how to put together this kind of Thanksgiving Day look + shop the style – read on, my friend.
The Perfect Thanksgiving Day Outfit + My Sister’s Closet Boutique Black Friday Sale!
HOW TO STYLE:
Camel Turtleneck
The camel turtle neck. This is a big Pinterest style for fall right now. You cannot go wrong with this top. You can play with the type of top you go for, whether you like a tight fitting turtleneck, a mock turtle neck, a loose shawl type sweater or this oversized chunky knit look! The goal to achieving this is to make sure it’s a camel color. This shade is VERY popular right now and I’m HERE for it. It flatters every single skin tone – whether you are pale or deep toned.
This particular sweater is great because it’s warm but you aren’t going to sweat in it while you make dinner with your family. It’s looser around your torso (aka: you can eat ALL THE PIE and you’ll still look flattering. #thedream).
Highwaisted Dark Denim
I am wearing my Dish Denim jeans in this post (aka: my favorite pair of high waist denim). They are a VERY dark wash, they are super slimming and they look fabulous with booties. I actually got these last year, but literally the day they came in the mail I found out I was pregnant and I could only fit into them for like 2 or 3 weeks before the baby bloating took over my midsection. Now that I am back to my prepregnancy size, I am LOVING wearing these! They enhance all my curves (the ones I have anyways – not a curvy girl over here) and make my waist look so tiny. They go with everything and this deep wash is very cohesive with all colors.
Olive Green Booties
These boots are my JAM. I believe this particular pair is from Downeast Basics from last fall – but I’ll link some other olive bootie options below. I love olive + camel together – they are so beautifully paired and SO FALL. They are so perfect for this time of year. Olive is a neutral in my opinion, so this whole look is very neutral-toned. It’ll match anything, and if you pair the look with a wine-colored lip, you’ll be GOLDEN.
Accessories
OK. So you have a few options for this. You could do a little French tuck with your top and throw a fun belt with a gold belt buckle on (I love my Gucci dupe belt from Amazon). You could also leave it loose like I am wearing it here and throw on a knot headband (I love my black one with pearl accents).
Black Friday SALE Info:
I am so excited this year to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family in Louisiana. Adam and I weren’t able to go last year because I was pretty sick being newly pregnant so it’s going to be SO MUCH FUN. I also put up an Amazon Thanksgiving Outfit inspiration guide on my IGTV with links, and you can also shop the pieces I picked HERE!
What are you planning on wearing for Thanksgiving this year?? Let me know in the comments below!
