So yesterday, I received my very first Stitch Fix in the mail. I have to be honest with you. I really wasn’t expecting very much. I am pretty modest, and I wasn’t sure that a stylist would be able to really get that message. When I say no shoulders or too far above the knee, I mean it. It isn’t a guideline. That being said, I was incredibly surprised. In the BEST way possible.

My first opinion of the box was that the packaging inside was darling. I love the turquoise lining inside the box and I love the way the clothing was packed neatly inside tissue paper. AND there was a little note on top from my stylist that explained why she chose the clothes she did, and that she loved that I wanted to be modest. I couldn’t wait to open up my box and see what she had chosen!!

FIX NUMBER ONE: Cobalt Blue Embroidered Top

If you think I didn’t keep this top, then you are kidding yourselves. It is by far my favorite of the bunch. We all know that I love cobalt blue (hello all my kitchen appliances) but the best part is the delicate embroidery. It flatters my figure and is made of linen so it isn’t too hot during the summer. Win and win.

FIX NUMBER TWO: Dragonfly Pleated Blouse

Okay, I liked this top but I didn’t love it. The little dragonflies are SO cute and the pleats in front are adorable. The problem is it was a bit too boxy. It came up just a bit too short. Other than that, it is totally my style! I just didn’t think I loved it enough to keep it.

FIX NUMBER THREE: Navy & White Striped Sweater

Special appearance by Felix. Glad you could join us, buddy. This sweater rocked. And, had it been September, I would have bought it in a heartbeat. It was so soft and had that cute little slit up the side. But with the weather here being 80-90 degrees during the day, and with the night not getting below 70-75, I just didn’t feel like it was worth it to spend the money. Hopefully in the fall they send me more sweaters like this!!

FIX NUMBER FOUR: Striped Dress

This dress makes me squeal. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.  I love that the dress felt perfectly modest. The fabric was very light and I feel like it really accentuates my waist. Also, heeeeyyyy Felix’s butt, how you doing? I love that I can wear it in the summer with a bright necklace and fun heels, and then layer it up in the fall with a cute moto jacket and some booties!

FIX NUMBER 5: Gold Bubble Necklace

This is a super beautiful necklace. I love gold jewelry and I really liked this one. But for the price, I didn’t feel like I needed it. I just have so many gold statement jewelry pieces that it wasn’t necessary. But it doesn’t mean I didn’t love it!

SO what would I rate this Stitch Fix out of 10? A solid 7.5! I ended up keeping 2/5 of the picks, but I really liked every piece. A little bit of adjusting and I think this stylist will really have the hang of what I love and my personal style! It was so nice getting two brand new pieces of clothing without having to go to a store. They were already in my size, delivered right to my door and they were so darling. I’m not going to lie to you, kids: I’m like STOKED to get my next stitch. If my first one was this good, the rest of them have to be just as awesome right?!

  1. Thank you SOOO much for doing this review! I have contemplated ordering a Stitch fix box, but now you have convinced me to try it! Thanks for sharing 🙂 Love the outfits!

  2. I’m intrigued. (Would be more intrigued if I wasn’t pregnant and getting bigger by the day.) How does this work, exactly? And what are the prices like?

    1. So basically you create a profile and answer a bunch of questions about your style and you put in what your budget is and they tailor each of your picks to that profile/budget!! You pay a $20 styling fee per box, but that $20 goes towards anything you keep in the box!!

  3. I LOVE the dress you got! I am always trying to get my stylist to send me dresses that are long enough and only recently have I found one who listens! I pinned it; hoping she will send it to me in my next fix!

    1. I was so specific. I literally said “I will not wear dresses shorter than 1.5-2 inches above my knee, so don’t bother sending them” lol. I hope she listens to you!!!!

  4. Your stylist did a great job… I liked mine this time but was unable to keep it due to cost… We had additional moving expenses ????

  5. I didn’t even know something like this existed! I’m not a fan of leaving the house to shop haha, so this might be up my alley.
