Hello, beautiful blondies!! It is once again #beautymonday and I am currently typing this post poolside (perks of working from home and for yourself). I hope your weekend was fabbbbulous and you enjoyed every second of it. I know it’s Monday, but Monday’s don’t have to be the worst, right? Today I am talking about something that my husband is convinced is Skynet (LOL) but that I am completely obsessed with: my HiMirror Plus. Let’s dive into this.

So, if you have every ventured over to my “about me” section (find it here if you are curious about my personal life), you will know that I graduated college in biochemistry. Because part of what makes this innovative HiMirror appeal to my science nerd inner self is the fact that it can tell me what is wrong with my skin just by looking at it, and if I use the HiSkin addition, it will literally analyze my actually skin texture and composition to let me know problem areas to take extra care of. This is my personal beauty system.

So, what exactly is this HiMirror Plus and WHY do you need it? To start off, it is a brilliant mirror. Everyday I use it with the lights on so that it illuminates my vanity and makes it easier to see how I am applying my makeup. It has several different light settings, but I always choose “natural daylight”. The mirror also takes BOMB selfies.
In addition to that, it will tell me key things about the weather outside before I start to do my hair and makeup. Things like: what is the humidity outside, whether or not it is raining and what the expected temperature will be.
To get started, you simply sync the HiMirror to your phone with their free downloadable app. Create an account, and then you will sign in with a QR code. It’s as easy as that! You swipe through different sections of the mirror using your hand and the navigation buttons on the side. While the gesture recognition is still a little bit flawed (and has caused some minor frustrations for me), it still works pretty well, and the voice recognition is much better so I typically navigate that way.
Because the majority of people spend the MOST money on skincare (as opposed to makeup or hair care), HiMirror makes sure you have a detailed skin analyses and then offers suggestions on products and items you should be using to take care of your skin.
This is like a personal beauty assistant on your wall. It’s safe to say I’m very impressed and my husband is terrified. LOL. It also plays music from my phone so I can jam while getting ready.

I don’t care if it’s Skynet, FBI or the Chinese Secret Intelligence, I seriously need one! I didn’t think I was much of a tech nerd until I saw this amazing HiMirror and have crazy cravings right now. Am I nuts for thinking the coolest part is that it plays your music while you use it? I love listening to music while I get ready so that is totally genius haha!
