Happy MONDAY, my friends!!! I wanted to share all the details of Jack’s second birthday to the blog so I could link up everything we bought and used, share the incredible bakers who made our desserts + show how you can pull off the easiest construction party ever. This was for my son’s second birthday and even though we had to move it inside because of the rain, we were able to have a wonderful time nonetheless! Let’s dive into it!
EASY CONSTRUCTION PARTY THEME: TWO YEAR OLD BIRTHDAY
DECORATIONS:
We went easy with the decor. I got almost everything off of Amazon and put it together myself. For our centerpieces, we went with miniature traffic cones and small silver buckets filled with pretzels and m&ms, surrounded by mini construction trucks! Then, we got a pack of construction party signs to put around the house – things like “party zone”, “fuel up here” and “dump gifts here” were all some of the ones included. They were cute and added to our construction theme. Right when you walked in the door, we had a hard hat station for our guests to grab a hat and really get into the party spirit! The last part of our decor was a “dig site” sand box. We included the mini traffic cones, silver buckets, yellow shovels and a bunch of mini trucks to “dig” up. It was super fun! We only got to use it for a few minutes because it was thunder storming outside, but we got some cute pictures. I also picked up a couple balloon bouquets and snagged a giant “2” for Jack to open his presents by!

FOOD:
We decided to go EASY with food, too – and catered Chick-Fil-A! We got a nugget tray, a fruit tray and a gallon of lemonade. We added chips, salsa and guac to the mix, too. Food prep literally took all of 5 minutes and fed our whole party! 10/10 recommend Chick-Fil-A for your next party. Everyone loves it and it comes already prepped and ready to serve.
DESSERTS:
We ordered from two bakers this time – one for our cake pops + cake and one for our cookies! Cake Pops by Angela did our phenomenal cake + cake pops. We have used her for several party occasions – my baby shower, Jack’s first birthday, my sister’s bridal shower – basically any time our family needs desserts for a function. HA! I ordered our cookies from Townhouse Treats and she also did an incredible job. Her cookies are SO GOOD and she decorates them so professionally. They were stunning! The desserts were honestly the best part of the party!
WHAT I WORE:
I work an eyelet lace top + white jeans with my favorite classic flip flops. It was a simple look and it looked great with my bright yellow hard hat!
