Happy THURSDAY!! I am a BIT late for all things green (missed the boat on a St. Patrick’s Day look #whoops) – but we are going to go ahead and call this a spring-inspired green look because I am SO ready for spring and green trees and grass. It is SO brown and dead. I feel like spring is SO late this year – we are halfway (over) though March and it’s STILL chilly and dead and grey. Come on, Missouri. I’m also reviewing the new Colourpop eyeshadow palette, Just My Luck!! I love the monochromatic look of the green and I realized I don’t have a ton of green eyeshadows even in my huge eyeshadow collection so this was a welcome addition. Let’s dive into it.

REVIEW:

I thought this palette was the PERFECT addition to my collection because, surprisingly, I didn’t have a lot of green eyeshadows already in my collection. I LOVE that Colourpop does monochromatic eyeshadow palettes because it makes it so easy to grab certain tones and shades without having to dig through your entire collection and also cuts down on the amount of palettes you bring traveling if you know you are wanting to work with a certain color palette.

In terms of quality, I was super impressed with the pigmentation and the blend ability of the shadows. The only shadow I felt was a little lacking (and you can see this in the video) is the deep matte olive shade. It WAS a tiny bit patchy, and it had trouble adhering to the other shadows on my eye. I had to really slowly pat it on in tiny motions to get it to stick everywhere that it needed to go. Other than that, the other two matte greens I used were very pigmented and easy to work with, and the metallic shadows were soft and bright when applied with my finger to the eye.

Overall, you can’t go wrong with spending only $12 on a palette like this. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed at all!

I personally REALLY enjoyed this palette – it was WELL worth the $12 I spent on it. Colourpop CONSTANTLY wows me (aside from the mascara I tested out in the video) and I’m almost always impressed with the products that I use from their brand. I truly believe that you don’t have to spend a small fortunate on makeup to look and feel gorgeous.
