BoxyCharm Unboxing + Review | May 2019

It’s that time of month! BoxyCharm unboxing time! I love BoxyCharm, as you WELL know by now. It’s my all-time favorite subscription box for beauty for a few reasons. 1) they are all full sized products. You never have to mess with deluxe or sample size products, trying to use them or make the most out of those tiny packages. 2) the boxes are themed, so all the products flow together well. 3) They are handpicked and almost always HITS. I’ve had such few disappointments with my boxes (and I always tell you which products were disappointments + why). Let’s discuss what’s inside the MAY box this month:

BoxyCharm Unboxing + Review | May 2019

GlamGlow GentleBubble Cleanser – $28.00

I LOVE this daily cleanser. It’s SO gentle on my skin, comes in a pretty mermaid-esque bottle and is vegan!! It’s also fragrance-free, which I personally love. GlamGlow is known for their strong scents, so I appreciate that you get the great quality of this brand without a super strong smell. It claims to have apple extract ,vitamin E and green tea extract to help deep clean and remove impurities!

Alamar Colorete Blush Trio – $22.00

I LOVE this brand. I always get SO excited when I see they are coming in my BoxyCharm box!!I am obsessed with my eyeshadow palette I got last summer in a BoxyCharm box – and their eye brushes are some of my absolute favorites. This is a blush palette and it has the perfect colors for summer – they are super peachy and will definitely give you that “sun kissed” look. 

Ciate London Eye Lustre Creme Eyeshadow – $22.00

I am not the world’s biggest creme eyeshadow fan. I almost never wear it – but the color I got is pretty dang beautiful. It reminds me of a mermaid (actually – this whole box does) because it’s purple/lavender with really pretty pink and gold reflects. When tapped out, it looks mostly gold with a very subtle purple shift. It dries down completely so you don’t have to worry about it moving around during the day. 

Dose of Colors Liquid Matte Lipsticks – $18.00

Dose of Colors is one of my ALL TIME favorite lipstick and lipgloss brands. My very favorite nude lip gloss is from Dose of Colors and I love their packaging. It’s heavy, which makes it really feel super luxurious. This color is STUNNING – a purple-grey hue called Stone. It’s one that was sold out on their website forever – so it’s so fun to be surprised with it in my box! It definitely looks more mauve on my skin tone, but I love that it’s a cool-tone mauve vs a warm color which is different from the other colors I have in my collection.

Bodyography Eyeliner Pencil – $14.00

I have gotten a few other eye and lip pencils from this brand in my BoxyCharm boxes before – and am always pleasantly surprised with how well they work! They are creamy and brightly colored, with excellent pigment payoff. It’s very metallic so it shines really pretty on the eye. It’s not great for a waterline, but it does look great on the top or lower lash line.

I love the mermaid-vibes I get from this box, from the rainbow colored cleanser, to the sparkly eyeshadow, to the coral blush trio. It really does scream SUMMER to me. I’m so ready for it to be warm all the time!!
