Hello fabulous friends! It is #BEAUTYMONDAY and OCTOBER IS THIS WEEKEND. SO. I have already changed my calendar to October, got my scary movie list ready to go and chose all of the Halloween makeup tutorials I am going to film for you guys. The moral of the story: who cares about the last week of September. What a time to be alive.

BUT BACK TO TODAY’S POST: I have actually been sitting on this post for a while and I kept having other things come up that I needed to post so it kept getting pushed back but I am actually so excited about it. A few weeks ago, YesStyle sent me an entire box full of Korean Beauty Products and I am going to review all of them for you today! Also — if you are concerned, you can buy all of these products in the U.S. So if you see something you love (and you will), it isn’t out of your grasp. Don’t you worry.

YESSTYLE KOREAN BEAUTY REVIEW

Product #1: Etude House Color My Brows in Light Brown — $7.63

YESSTYLE KOREAN BEAUTY BOX REVIEW

I give this product a 0/10. First off, it really wasn’t the right color for me. Second, it really isn’t the right color for anyone because it is straight up orange. I would not recommend to anyone. Not a good start, YesStyle…. Plus, it is clumpy (who knew brow gel could be clumpy, amiright?) and it gets everywhere. Just stay with your Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow. #notworthit

Product #2: Berrisom Oops My Lip Tint Pack in Dear Coral — $5.56

YESSTYLE KOREAN BEAUTY REVIEW

SO. Originally. This was also going to get a 0/10. Honestly. I put it on my lips and immediately wanted to tear it off because it tasted so bad and made my lips tingle. I just thought it was a thick, gross lipgloss. BUT GUYS IF I HAD READ THE INSTRUCTIONS I WOULD HAVE KNOWN HOW TO — USE IT AND I WOULD NOT LOOK LIKE A FOOL (ok but to be fair all the instructions were in Korean. I do not read Korean). This is not thick lipgloss like I thought. It is peel off lip tint. It goes on thick and then in 5-10 minutes you peel it off for 12 hours of lip stain. SO. Basically guys, read the instructions of new makeup (or at least Google it) so you don’t look foolish. This gets a 8/10 because it only lasted 8 hours not 12 like advertised. Semantics. It really was a good lip stain.

Product #3: Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask — $15.56

YESSTYLE KOREAN BEAUTY BOX

This is one of my all time new favorite products. I have used it every day since I received it. I put it on before bed and I wake up with the world’s softest lips. In Idaho, I struggle with dry, cracked lips but lemme tell you: problem 100% solved. If you also struggle with dry lips, just buy it. It will be the best decision you make all day. 10/10.

Product #4: Etude House Precious Mineral Cover & Bright Fit BB Cream — $11.61

YESSTYLE KOREAN BEAUTY BOX

I will be devastated when I run out of this stuff. It is the most magical BB cream I have ever used. And I have used so many. SO many. I like medium-full coverage foundation because I deal with slightly uneven skin. But this stuff is the stuff dreams are made of. It is not cakey, has incredible coverage and stays on all day. I love my Urban Decay foundation but it doesn’t have anything on the staying power of this stuff. And for $11, you literally cannot beat it. 10/10 would recommend to every person I meet and also their moms.

Product #5: TONY MOLY Skin Soothing Tea Tree Mask — $19.90 / pack of 10

YESSTYLE KOREA BEAUTY REVIEW

This tea tree mask is great! I love sheet masks because they make me look like a monster and if my husband happens to walk in the bathroom while I’m doing it he screams BUT THEN they take away all my little baby wrinkles and make my skin glow. It is always fun. While I liked this sheet mask, I don’t necessarily think it is any better than any other sheet mask! You are probably better off just snagging one from your local Ulta in the checkout line! 7/10.

Product #6: Cushion Tint Professional Lip & Cheek Tint in Pink — $6.21

YESSTYLE KOREA BEAUTY REVIEW

I like this product, because it is a duo. It is a matte lip color in a light lavender/pink color and it doubles as a cheek tint. My only beef with this is that as a lip color, it rocks. As a cheek tint, it is really hard to blend out. I don’t necessarily feel like it is a must have in your makeup box, but for $6, I mean you really can’t go wrong (as long as you mostly want to use it for your lips)! If you feel like you need it, you won’t be disappointed, I just don’t anticipate this flying off the shelves. 6/10.

Product #7: Berrisom Oops! Tint Cheek Cushion in Coral — $9.81

YESSTYLE KOREA BEAUTY REVIEW

OK GUYS THIS WAS MY FAVORITE PRODUCT FROM THIS BOX. I have never used cream blush before but this stuff…..and now I don’t think I will ever go back to powder blush. I like my Tarte blushes, but the color payoff and staying power of this cheek tint cannot be beat. It stays all day (which my Tarte blushes do not) and it blends SO WELL. I look like a crazy clown with big pink circles on my face but after my beauty blender is done with it, I look like I am naturally rosy.  The dream. If you don’t buy anything else this week, buy this stuff. 10/10. 12/10, even.

Product #8: Beauty People Gel Liner Auto Pencil in Gleam Brown — $4.76

YESSTYLE KOREA BEAUTY REVIEW

This product is okay. It is just like any other brown eyeliner you can buy anywhere. I don’t really like mechanical eyeliners (more of a liquid eyeliner girl) but I supposed if you typically use mechanical pencils this could totally work for you! It does have a really pretty sparkle to it that you can actually see when you put it on. I give it like a 5/10.

Product #9: Tosowoong Black-Head Nose Pack — $2.90

YESSTYLE KOREA BEAUTY REVIEW

These to me were just knock off Bioré nose strips. I did not think they worked as well as my Bioré ones, so while I will finish off the package, I would rather spend four more dollars and get the brand that actually works. Don’t bother with this one! 1/10.

Product #10: Etude House Collagen Eye Patch — $2.61

YESSTYLE KOREA BEAUTY REVIEW

Ok. This was one of my other favorite products. So I felt weird about putting collagen on my face at first. But here’s the thing. I struggle SO BADLY with dark under eye circles. I could get 12 hours of sleep and still look like I got punched in the face when I wake up. So I put these on right before I went to bed and left the excess collagen on my eyes over night. WHEN I WOKE UP. I DID NOT HAVE DARK CIRCLES. CAN WE JUST TALK ABOUT THAT. The little crows feet around my eyes were significantly reduced and my eyes were not dark purple. Life is good guys. 10/10 would recommend.

OK. I know this was a long winded post. But. Now you know how Korean Beauty products stand up compared to all of the American Beauty products I typically talk about. While some of these were TOTAL beauty busts…some of them were crazy beauty WINS. The best foundation I’ve ever used is like $11. So. I feel really good about it.

  1. Totally was laughing at your lipgloss review! How would you know to put it on…then peel it off unless the directions were in a language you understood? That must have been HILARIOUS as you were looking at yourself in the mirror and thinking, “wait…what is wrong with this lip look?” HAHA! Love it, girl!

  2. I seriously love your energy in this post!! haha I totally would not have thought to read the instructions before apply because peeling off a lip balm is kinda just weird but that is a really neat idea.
That BB cream I might have to try, I only use BB cream. And the Eye patches, I have been debating trying some and now I actually will!! Love this!

  3. Great post, I love trying new makeup. I’ve never tried eye patches but it looks like a great product. I have to give it a try now!

  4. No one can fault you for being honest…thank you! I loved your lip gloss story. I’ve actually seen this on facebook so I knew what it was, but I can imagine what you must have thought! Does it hurt coming off?

  5. This looks like such a fun box! I hope that you are able to get more of the BB Cream somehow because I know how finding the right one can be ah-mazing.

  6. Ok i want the eye collagen. I too struggle with dark circles all the time and I need a product to help with that. Thanks for the info I’m gonna go check it out????

  7. This seemed like a pretty fun box! A couple duds, but overall, not bad. I have to check if that BB cream comes in diff shade options – my biggest issue is they’re never dark enough for me. 🙁 Apparently, no one is medium/tan/olive in Asia. I have collagen eye masks that I always have used in the AM if I look particularly punched in the face (as you mentioned lol) but ill have to try them before bed instead. 🙂

  8. I love trying Asian skincare products because some of them are hysterical and some of them are amazing! Tony Moly is one of my favorite sheet mask makers and Laneige makes amazing products all around!

  9. I’d happily enjoy every item in that box! What a great idea for a Christmas present. I can already think of a few people who would love that.

  10. I love how honest you are about the products. Your blog is always so much fun to read! I have been tempted to try the peel-off lip stains but they scare me. It’s good to know your experience wasn’t tragic (after you read the instructions).

  11. I just ran out of my foundation today so you are making me want to try this BB cream. I think I would love the peel off lip stain too. I like stain versus lipstick.

  12. I always love reading about everybody’s beauty boxes. I am glad that someone likes them, there are some days I barely put concealer on! I think part of it is my skin is so darn sensitive!

  13. What a fun mix of products. I love the college eye patch. Things like this are a fun way to try new products without spending a ton of money.

  14. I subscribe to vegan cuts beauty box and love getting a box of goodies each month. THis one looks like a great one, I’ll have to check it out

  15. The lip sleeping mask sounds like a product I need to get! I struggle with dry lips as well so I’d love to have something that would help with that!

  16. Ooo what a fabulous box!!!!!! My eye brows are pretty much invisible so I need to get my hands on that brow stuff!!!

  17. The lip tint- crazy that you peel it off, I’m totally intrigued.
One of my good friends back in Texas is half Korean, and her mom had THE BEST SKIN. I was introduced to a world of Korean cosmetics back then, I don’t know why I haven’t thought to keep it going!

  18. These products look super cool. My friend is a huge fan of Korean beauty products, so I will have to tell her about this. Also, I’ve never heard of a peel off lip-stain. I’m intrigued!

  19. I haven’t heard of these products before! And unfortunately I have never tried any Korean products before. My cosmetologist is very caring and professional and I get all the packages from her.
I trust your review about these products and I might order them to try!

  20. I wish I was more into make up because all of these boxes are amazing. This one looks really fabulous! Would love to give it a try, looks like some great products!
