Hello, party people! Welcome to another #BEAUTYMONDAY at Blonde & Ambitious Blog. I’m so glad you are here. I start my first last day of school at 10:15 today. That is SO weird?? The last four years flew by. I don’t like Idaho all that much, but I do owe meeting my husband and some incredible friends I would be lost without to this school. So I guess I’ll always be grateful for that. But today, I am going to be demonstrating a half-up-half-down hair tutorial I have started calling the “twisted sister” that was highly requested by my followers on instagram when I posted this hair picture:

So this tutorial is SO easy. You guys are going to laugh at how simple it is. To start, you will be either day old wavy hair or freshly waved hair with generous amounts of dry shampoo. Your hair needs to be able to “stick” to itself so that the knot holds in place all day. That’s right: this isn’t a braid tutorial. This is a knot tutorial (hence — twisted sister, not braided sister). Still confused? Watch my tutorial below to get all the deets and recreate this look for yourself:

If you are wondering about the video I mentioned that shows you show to achieve the wavy hair look, you can watch it here: Mohawk Braid Tutorial (+ Easy Waves)

So what did you think? I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and I look forward to seeing all your creations on instagram!! Be sure to take me if you create this look yourself — I can’t wait to see what kind of spin you put on it!

The best part about this look is, as you can see, it look me less than five minutes to complete once my hair was curled. That is what makes it perfect day two hair. I love to do this on my second day curls because not only do I still look put together, but I don’t take all day.

As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you loved this hair tutorial! Please let me know if you want to see any other hair or makeup tutorials 🙂

  5. I so wish I had your hair! My hair is blonde, straight, and thin! Very thin. Most of my hair dressers will say I have “baby fine” hair. I curl it and 5 minutes later it’s straight! My only options are straight down or straight up lol! I love this look but it would not look great on me lol!

  7. SO cute! I love the messy wave hair trend so much right now. As my hair is naturally messy, wavy, and textured. After years of super straight hair being trendy, I’m psyched! This is the perfect way to style those wavy locks!

  8. This is so gorgeous! I love hairstyles like this. They are so feminine and romantic. I’ll have to make my husband do my hair like this hahah, since just so hard to do the back of your hair yourself!
