Haaaaappy #BEAUTYMONDAY! This is a special week because on April 9th, it is my FIRST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY! This whole week will be filled with wedding themed posts because #love. I had the BEST time planning my wedding last year and I am glowing with excitement for our first anniversary. We have a fun styled shoot planned this week (eek!!) and a bunch of other cute things planned. In honor of beauty monday, I am going to be sharing with you the TOP makeup products you need to do your makeup on your wedding day (for those of us who were far to anal to have somebody do it for you). TooFaced Primed & Poreless Pure 

This product is godsend for your wedding day. It seriously held my makeup in place from 8:30am to 11:30pm that night. I chose the ‘pure’ version because it is oil free and I have extremely oily skin. It feels smooth and fills the fine lines around your eyes and mouth. 

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation

I will sound like a broken record if I talk about how much I love this foundation any more….it is super full coverage which means you only need a thin layer to do its job. Less foundation = less cakey in pictures. Because the only cake you want on your wedding day has lots of frosting and a bride and groom sitting on top. Less is more here!

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer 

Hi, my name is once again broken record. Nice to meet ya! I’ve chatted about this concealer before. Do yourself a favor and just go buy it. It will change your life and I promise you’ll never use another concealer again. Ok? ok. I linked it for you below for easy access. 

ItCosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder 

That is a serious mouthful of a title. Holy crow. But. It is totally worth it — and much better than opting for a translucent powder. Stick to the tinted powders for finishing your makeup because they won’t leave a white cast in pictures. Google “translucent powder fails” if you want to see what I am talking about.

Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Palette 

This palette is far and beyond one of my absolute favorites. I talk about my love for it and give you a tutorial here if you want to check it out. It is beautiful and the bottom shades (blush colors) are subtle and sophisticated. They work to enhance your natural beauty without overwhelming your face!

Tarte So Fine Liner

This eyeliner is awesome. The precise tip makes it nearly impossible to mess up a perfect winged liner. It goes on shiny and black and dries matte extremely quickly. It has currently taken over the spot of favorite liner (previously held by Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liner) if that tells you anything. It is also waterproof, so it won’t smudge during your perfect day.

TooFaced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara

GET THIS MASCARA. If you get NOTHING else from this list….get this mascara. And cherish it forever. I knew I would get teary eyed and sweaty on the day I said “I Do” and so I opted for waterproof mascara and I am SO glad I did. My mascara did not BUDGE and I had beautiful, full lashes to show for it. I swear by this stuff for your wedding and also just the rest of your life.

TooFaced Melted Lipstick

Read this post to discover why I have undying love for melted lipsticks. They are crazy amazing. Lasting power, amazing pigmentation, the works. Seriously. 10/10, would recommend to EVERY ONE AND THEIR MOTHER.

So — other makeup products, such as blush/bronzer, brow products and highlight, are dependent on how “made up” you want to look. Some people prefer to go sans bronzer and just stick to blush and highlight. A few recommendations I have:

Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer

This stuff is now and forever my favorite bronzer. This stuff smells like a tropical vacation and it is the perfect shade. Not to warm (say goodbye to orange) and not to cool (think ashy). 

Tarte Amazonian Clay 24 Hour Blush 

I love this blush formula. It is creamy, but not chalky. It will give you that healthy glow every bride is looking for. I like that it lasts all day, so I never had to reapply during my wedding day. #holla

Benefit Brow Products

These two products used together are complete perfection. Just fill lightly with the pencil, and then use the tinted brow gel to add fullness and depth to your brows.
