I am seriously LOVING these Our City play mats for Jack. I have to STL one – but they also have a beach bum one, a farm town one, and a UT one! I had been looking for a play mat that matched similar ones I’d seen on Pottery Barn – but I just wasn’t able to find on that was quality material (aka: would hold up through the baby and toddler years) that was in my budget. Then my friend Laurel decided to make her own and market it for other mamas and I was HOOKED. This mat is amazing. It was the absolute perfect addition to Jack’s playroom. What is it and why is it great?

The most VERSATILE play mat I’ve ever seen / used. I had been looking for a mat that was minimal, chic, easy to clean, and perfect for playtime (whether we are out and about or at home). Enter: Our City play mat!!!! My darling friend Laurel and her husband came together to create these play mats that check literally everything off a mom’s list. 

This play mat looks beautiful in any nursery, comes in a variety of cities / designs, folds and travels easily so it can go from your living room floor to grandma’s house or the library. 

Some high points:

EASY TO CLEAN: spit up has nothing on this mat. Pop it in the washing machine and hang to dry. I refuse to buy anything that requires special washing instructions – I’m a working mama and I just do NOT have time for that. It’s stain repellant, too – thank goodness because we have 2 cats and a dog. LOL.

WORKS FOR ALL AGES: This works from newborn all the way up to toddler! Lay your baby down in your office with you, or have them play with toys on the little roads and streets! Jack loves playing with toys on the mat, but when he was littler (I got to try the first version of this mat), he loved to rub his face against the soft microsuede. 

PREMIUM QUALITY: These mats are 100% natural rubber and microsuede fiber. Thick and durable, but also easy to fold and lightweight for travel. They are also eco-friendly!
