I’m going to start this off by saying: dude, you probably do not need to go out and buy a tiny fridge to put in your room because it is NOT a totally necessity. You absolutely can keep these products in your regular fridge. However: I am EXTRA AF and I love having this tiny cute little pink fridge in my office to grab my skincare items right there at my vanity. But let this be clear: this is an extra. Not a necessity in your routine or collection. NOW. MOVING FORWARD. If you do have a tiny skincare fridge and want to know what items to throw into it, please keep reading.

Products You Need In Your SKINCARE FRIDGE!

SHOP THIS POST:

VITAMIN C PRODUCTS

Vitamin C products need to be taken special care of because they go bad faster than other products. Keeping them in the fridge actually extends their shelf life so you can get the most use out of them! I use this vitamin C moisturizer and I also like this one. This vitamin C serum is also awesome!

EYE CREAM

And basically anything that you put under your eyes, period! Cool products help reduce puffiness under your eyes so placing these products in the fridge prior to using them will ensure that maximum de-puffing is happening. I love the feeling of my eye cream on my skin after it’s been in the fridge. Ultimate cooling sensation. This is my favorite under eye cream (bonus: it’s $16)! I also use a green coffee and avocado eye roller and prefer it chilled as well – it wakes up the eyes. I use this one and apply it about 5 minutes before my eye cream!

SHEET MASKS

Also I do my little eye patches!! These are my personal favorite. There is just something about putting on a cool eye patch or sheet mask that is like the ULTIMATE in relaxation for me, especially if the product has aloe in it! That ingredient works best when chilled. I wear the under eye patches while I do my hair in the morning to give them time to go to work on my dark circles and bags.

MISTS

I use this mist right now, but also love this one (and it’s only $12)!! These are both lavender scented with aloe – and they feel AMAZING when sprayed on the face. I use the hydration mist post-moisturization right before I put on my primer and makeup. It chills my skin and adds one more dose of moisture. I also spray this on my face on my no-makeup days because it helps combat redness and puffiness and is really relaxing.

GEL MOISTURIZERS

This gel moisturizer is a personal favorite! If you struggle with super oily skin, you probably steer away from really heavy moisturizers so using a chilled gel moisturizer may be just what your skincare routine needs!! Again – cooled products aid in redness and puffiness reduction, as well as keeping the ingredients in your products as fresh as possible.

FACIAL TOOLS

I keep my jade roller in the fridge, too! I love this thing. It works better when chilled, so I use it after I’ve put my moisturizer on and sprayed my face with my facial mist. It helps increase circulation to the face, pushes product deeper into your skin for maximum retention and depuffs the under eyes. I talk a lot about jade rollers here! They aren’t a necessity by any means, but I like the way it feels and I do think it helps my under eye bags!

MAKEUP PRIMER

This is total preference. The coolness is really just because I like putting cold things on my face. It isn’t going to magically makeup your makeup last longer at all. I put my moisturizing glass skin primer in here and I love the way it glides onto my face when it’s chilled. That being said: I see no difference in makeup quality or lasting power because it’s in the fridge – so if you don’t have room, you could totally skip it!

PIN THIS FOR LATER:

I got this little skincare fridge for Christmas and I have LOVED using it. It’s so cute and so much fun. BONUS: it can extend the life of your products by up to 40%, wakes up your complexion and if you’re careful, you can even stick some snacks in there, too. 😉

What do you think of the skincare fridge trend??

  1. First things first: I need a skincare fridge haha. I’ve had one on my Amazon wishlist for quite some time, and after getting a jade roller for Christmas, and a few fabulous products, I knew I wanted one even more. Good to know what else to keep inside!

  2. Okay, how cute is that skincare fridge! My skincare product collection looks pretty weak in comparison to this post haha, but I am obsessed with how cute that fridge is!
