Happy TUESDAY, friends! Today, we are going to be talking about something that has honestly plagued me my entire life: Jewelry organization. I have always been SO bad at it, but I decided that I was going to write this post as a motivation to me to actually get my jewelry in order so I could show you how to do it and so that I could live my best tangle-free-necklace life. SO. I did just that. I scoured the internet for the BEST jewelry organizational hacks and put them to use in my beauty room so that I could actually find and wear all of my pretty earrings and necklaces. It’s been a life-changer and I look SO much more put together because of it. #bless Let’s dive right into this.
Jewelry Organization Made Easy: 5 HACKS!
HACK ONE: Wire rack for dangly earrings.
I am obsessed with this. I have used this for years as a way to showcase all of my bold, dangly earrings and it is not only effective, but also really pretty! It is a great eye-catching wall piece, and it doesn’t take up too much space. I like to switch out the earring formation every now and then to change it up or make room for a new earring set but it’s pretty static for the most part. If you can’t find on at the store – it’s a SUPER easy DIY. Just take some chicken wire and an empty frame and nail them together. Pinterest has dozens of tutorials so you can make one to exactly fit your aesthetic.
HACK TWO: Miniature bust figure OR “T” form to hang necklaces on.
I’ve had this mini bust form since college and I bring it everywhere I go. It’s such an easy way to organize my daintier necklaces and it just looks really pretty. I love that I can hang necklaces over the top or on the “arms”. It makes it super easy to organize by metal color, size, type or length. I like to do it by metal so I can easily grab something that matches my earrings and vice versa. This also ensures nothing is getting tangled or hooked into each other – and it’s visually pleasing!
HACK THREE: Tiered dish for misc. bracelets & rings.
I love this little dish! It’s SO pretty on my closet shelf and it holds more than you think. I love putting stackable bracelets on the bottom, watches on the center tier and then rings/holiday earrings on the top. This works for me because I do not have very many extra rings (I tend to just keep to the three I wear every day) – but if you have more rings you may need an actually ring organizer so you can see them all. I like that all my watches / bracelets are in one spot so I can easily pick through and grab my favorites.
HACK FOUR: Booklet to hold all of your earrings in an easy-to-flip-through way.
Adam got me this for Christmas and it has been an actual LIFE SAVER. I love how easy it was to organize all my smaller earrings in one spot this way. It’s fantastic for studs and smaller danglers, PLUS will be so easy to pack and travel with so you don’t lose all your earrings or end up with them in a flimsy plastic bag (like I always do). It’s portable, it’s pretty and it holds over 32 pairs of earrings.
HACK FIVE: Small rod in closet to hold large statement necklaces.
This was a newer hack for me. I actually repositioned some stuff in my office closet to be able to do this and I am SO glad I did. My heavier necklaces all used to be piled on my bust form but it was getting WAY to full, and it was impossible to grab the one necklace you wanted and it was just a mess. This is the easiest way to be able to “flip” through all of my necklaces, and none of them get tangled or hooked on each other. They look pretty in the closet and the rod is strong enough it won’t bed under the weight of the necklaces. WIN.
PIN THIS FOR LATER:
I hope this post has been super helpful for those of you looking to organize your jewelry this year – I know how daunting of a task that can be and also how overwhelming based on the sheer amount of jewelry one can own. I happen to have a LOT of jewelry so I put off organizing it for…months….years?? SO LONG. I promised myself when we moved into this house I would be better at making sure I kept my office organized so this is my way of keeping that promise. 😉
How do you like to keep your jewelry organized?? Let me know in the comments below!
