Happy #beautymonday, everyone! Today is day 43 of the #100daysofmakeup challenge AND the THIRD of four total tutorials using the vault collection from Jaclyn Hill x Morphe. The palette I am using today is the ALL PURPLE Bling Boss palette. Honestly, this was the palette I was least excited for because I don’t LOVE purples (especially royal purple) on me. They tend to be too garish and hard on my skin tone (I just feel like I’m too pale for them). However, I was excited to use the pretty maroons and light pink shimmers. These particular shimmers were very similar to the original Jaclyn Hill palette shades “faint”, “sissy” and “obsessed”, which I loved the first time around. Overall, I was actually way more impressed with the quality of this palette than I thought I would be. You guys remember that the dark mattes in Dark Magic + Armed & Gorgeous were just a little bit patchy – but the dark mattes in Bling Boss were rich and easy to blend which was really exciting. With that being said, let’s dive into the full review + tutorial:
Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Vault Tutorial: Bling Boss
PRODUCTS USED:
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Fix
Morphe + Jaclyn Hill Bling Boss Palette
Morphe + Jaclyn Hill Armed & Gorgeous Palette (just the shade VIP for inner corner highlight)
Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara
Battington Lashes in Monroe 3D silk
Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick in WSM
Overall, I really loved this palette. It was creamier and easier to blend than I was expecting based off of the previous palette performances, and the shimmer was really shiny and beautiful. I think the purple actually made my eyes pop and I just really liked the way that the maroons blended into one another. We only have one palette left – Ring The Alarm! That is the red/orange palette and I am so excited to test it out.
