Happy December, blondies!! I can’t believe that it is already the last month of the year! How did that happen?!? I don’t know about you, but Idaho has gotten an INSANE amount of snow the last couple days so I figured I would warm you up with my favorite drink for the fall: holiday apple cider recipe!! If you are like me, you really appreciate a good hot chocolate, but nothing beats the smell of apple cider in the crockpot, filling the kitchen and living room with the scent of cinnamon! It SCREAMS winter to me. I hope you like it!! Ps. These cozy mittens slay me.

I hope you guys enjoyed this recipe and plan on making it soon! 🙂 It is PERFECT for a small holiday party with your favorite people, or by yourself (no shame if you drink it all — been there). It is delicious and is super addictive so don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Also, I would love to ask you all to join me in a little challenge I’m doing for the entire month of December. I often find myself complaining a lot and I have decided it needs to stop. I am far to blessed and crazy thankful to fill my time with complaints, especially if those complaints involve things I can’t change or simply have nothing to do with me.
So, on that note, I’m taking the next 30 days to be conscious of my thoughts and words and try to turn my complaints into positives. That’s what this month is all about right? If you’d like to join me, I totally invite you do the same. We can keep each other accountable! 🙂 Check back every time I do a new post for an update from me and some words of encouragement. There is too much hate and unhappiness in the world, and we can start to change that. Let’s do it together.
Until next time,
Yum! This sounds awesome! I need to make this when I get home tonight!

It never occurred to me to DIY apple cider! This looks delicious — I wonder if I could put a little wine in there too!
You TOTALLY could! Or a little hard cider instead of water!
This sounds SO good!
Oh my I love apples and cinnamon. We’re expecting some cold weather. Might be nice to try. Cheers 🙂

Yum! I’ve never tried to make apple cider before but I’m always up for new traditions. This could be something fun to do with my partner.
So I am very new to apple cider and am so excited you shared this recipe! Totally making this over Christmas!
I absolutely love drinking apple cider, especially on those cold winter evenings around the holidays! I bet the spices make it taste extra delicious. Will definitely be giving this a try in the next few weeks 🙂
Can’t wait to try this recipe!! I always just buy pre-made cider and add the spices!! I’m sure this recipe is sooo much better!

One of my favorite things about making this is the fragrant aroma that wafts through the house. It certainly is the smell of Christmas to me
I’ve not seen you be very negative a all! I’m trying to this in my sentence a day journaling. It’s hard!
Words of encouragement are like fruit for the soul. Your recipe sounds so soothing right now, I could use this cider as I am so tired right now!
Truth to be told I’ve never had this and I’m hoping to try it.
I just started taking time each day to write down what I’m thankful for to help my mind focus on those thing instead of the complaints. I read in a study that people who write down 3 things in the morning and 3 things in the evening are significantly happier than those who don’t write down what they’re thankful for
Yum! I love the recipe, I always make a huge batch of apple cider after a family visit to the orchard! And I definitely need to join you in the challenge!
xx
I’ve never tried to make cider, but this looks really delicious, and like something I might even be able to make. Definitely perfect for the holidays!

Mmmm…apple cider is SO good! I’ve never made it with real apples, but it sounds delicious!
I bet this cider smells amazing! I pick it over pumpkin spice any day, and need to try tossing in some cinnamon and cloves next time!
I make apple cider as well, but I’ll admit I skip the real apples and just spice up some apple juice. I didn’t realize it was so easy to just make the real thing!
This sounds like an amazing drink, I must try it over the festive period! And I’m with you on the complaining thing, really need to try it myself.
Nothing better than hot apple cider on a chilly winter day! Thanks for this awesome post!
