WHEW. We are at the week before Christmas, the dry season is in full swing and I am keeping my makeup / skincare bag updated and ready to tackle the weirdness of pregnancy skin and dry air. I’ve got a lot of cult classics in my bag right now – but I also have some new favorites making their way into my top products of all time. Let’s jump right into it!
Favorite Winter Beauty Products – UPDATED What’s In My Makeup Bag

Here’s the blurb STRAIGHT from the website: The PMD Clean Pro RQ breaks down dirt and oil from within the pores at 7,000 vibrations per minute while operating at a perfect frequency to lift, firm, and tone the skin.
I am OBSESSED with this! I love how easy it is to clean my face and really feel like I have a CLEAN face. I have been using for several weeks now, and while I can’t say FOR SURE about the lifting/firming/toning, it’s an awesome cleansing device and has become a routine staple product for me.
PMD Personal Microderm Elite Pro
Another blurb from the website so you know what’s up: Personal Microderm Elite Pro is a revolutionary at-home device providing the same brilliant results as professional in office treatments. TruTier™ technology combines variable vacuum suction and tri-speed capabilities to provide the most customizable microdermabrasion treatment on the market.
I battle heavy acne scars from YEARS of hormonal and cystic acne (past + present) and Microderm is one of those treatments that actually works to help my scarring. I love that I can use this at home. It’s super gentle and effective and really helps with fine lines and hyperpigmentation. I use weekly!! It’s definitely a splurge, but would make a great Christmas or birthday gift.
Herbal Face Food The Cure Extreme Multi-Correction Serum
This is another serum I’ve added to my line up. It’s safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding, and has been a game changer with my acne scars in combination with the Microderm abrasion treatments. I love that I can use it as an all over serum OR as a spot treatment. Another splurge-y treatment but I really love it. It has really made a difference in my skin so it’s a product I plan on keeping in my bag for the foreseeable future.
Revlon Oil Absorbing Volcanic Roller
This thing is SO inexpensive and it totally took me by surprise. I’ve been keeping one in my purse and one at my desk for mid-day touch ups. Not everyone loves it – it definitely has mixed reviews – but right now you can get it for right around $10 so it’s worth a try! I have a VERY shiny t-zone so 2 or 3 times a day, so whenever I catch a glimpse of it in my zoom camera (LOL), I run the roller over it and it’s matte. It basically does the same thing as a blotting sheet, but I don’t like blotting sheets (I have to use like FOUR of them at a time to battle my oil) and I think they’re wasteful. So. Love it!
Tula Skincare Rose Glow & Get It Eye Balm
This has been a staple in my skincare routine for YEARS now. I started with their original blue one, and it’s good but I like the color of the pink one better on my skin. I use it after primer, before foundation. It hydrates my under eye, reduced fine lines and has a cooling component that decreases puffiness as well. It’s such an easy way to add eye care to your routine! I use it EVERY day!
Urban Decay All Nighter Face Primer
I honestly didn’t think I was going to love this primer as much as I did when I tried it about a year and a half ago – but I do!!! This is my second or third bottle and it’s one that I just really really like. It helps keep my makeup in place all day and really sets my skin to hold my foundation nicely.
Milani Conceal + Perfect Concealer
I just tried this concealer on a whim a couple months ago and ended up LOVING it!! It sets down beautifully, has really nice coverage and looks great on the skin. I use this one particularly to spot conceal my acne scars. It lasts really well throughout the day and it doesn’t sink into my fine lines like other concealers do. I don’t love it for my under eye (I prefer something a little more hydrating) but LOVE for spot concealing.
Colourpop Bare Necessities Eyeshadow Palette
This eyeshadow palette has been another favorite for YEARS. I keep it in my makeup bag, travel with it, and use it multiple times a week. The shades are so flattering for my skin tone. There is a great mix of warm/cool tones and matte/shimmers. Colourpop really knows how to do a shimmer, too. I take forever to go through eyeshadows but I can absolutely see myself repurchasing this once I do run out.
